I wonder what would be said when the culprits are caught, and they will be ,and their names are plastered all over the place, if people track the graves of their grandparents ,who probably served or lived through world wars and desecrated them........ how would they feel.

A new clue to when virus emerged?
    Helen Briggs

    BBC science and health journalist

When did the virus emerge? The precise events around the timeline are still unclear, more than six months on.

The first known cluster of cases in Wuhan in December 2019 was centred around a local seafood market, which also sold live animals, including wildlife.

Tests suggest that the virus was present in some form, but not all cases were connected with the market and no animal source has been pinned down.

Evidence has since emerged suggesting that the virus might have been circulating internationally earlier than thought, including from a French doctor who said that his patient tested positive for coronavirus in late December.

Now there’s an intriguing new clue, gleaned not from direct evidence, but from studying satellite imagery and internet search terms, which suggests that hospital traffic and internet searches for symptoms were on the rise in Wuhan as early as late summer/early autumn.

Only further research into the virus, both in animals and humans, will give an answer - though it’s possible that we will never know exactly where and when it emerged.

Just seen a few clips from PMQ's ...

    ... we're doomed!

The PM has just accused the opposition of being inconsistent.

This is a PM whos u-turned on schools, masks, quarantine, lockdown, etc.

But, to be fair, he's very proud of something or other.

I did like the bit where he kept refering to following the plan, because obviously the plan was to announce kids back then retract that to some kids back.

Several members of the Washington, DC National Guard have tested positive for Covid-19 after being deployed to the Black Lives Matter protests sparked by the death of George Floyd, the military says.

The National Guard says it will not disclose the number of guardsmen infected due to "operational security".

The members were among the 1,300 troops sent to the US capital during mass demonstrations that began last weekend. They were joined by almost 4,000 additional National Guard troops from other states.

Meanwhile members of the White House coronavirus task force say they fear a spike in cases linked to nationwide civil unrest triggered by Floyd's death. Dr Deborah Birx advised state governors to ensure Covid tests are available in urban areas after 70 testing sites were destroyed in protests, US media report.

Over the last couple of months we’ve heard all sorts about the economy post virus . Worst recession ever, won’t be too bad , taxation won’t be needed to repay borrowing , slow recovery , quick recovery etc etc
Today’s version is that the U.K. will suffer the worst of all developed nations — and the north east will ( surprise surprise ) have the slowest regrowth. (and we can assume that the govt will give us the least assistance)
So for those who live around here , welcome to the 3rd world
