Speaking of the Inbetweeners, has anyone been watching the series White Gold on Netflix? Written by the same bloke. It's very funny!

I wonder who this other American investor is ? Henry mauriss lives inn a house like mine ffs. I mean I want Ashley gone, but he appears to be nowhere near wealthy enough to take the club fwd. I hope the other potential buyers got more potential otherwise we might end up following Blackburn and Sunderland

I said weeks ago this sounds like bullshit to soften the blow personally. I'm not interested in takeovers after this .. it either happens or just stick with Ashley.. he'll be better than mauriss

I said I wouldn’t post unless there was something new to post. But I have to respond to this.

The piracy Issue IS the issue and IMO the only issue the premier league have!

They will see this as an opportunity to FIX a big arse problem they have. My thoughts are that they are negotiating with the Saudis to find a solution to the piracy using the takeover as leverage. And it’s taking a while BECAUSE of the legal issues surrounding it.

So it’s a positive spin my point!

    I agree.

but as much as I hate Ashley I believe he wants out and he found one of the richest people in the world to buy us so fair play to him. It's not his fault that politics got in the way.

I genuinely think we will now be stuck with Ashley and that clown Penfold. There's no way this deal is happening. It would have gone through by now if it was going to happen.

I also hope that the PL get their arse sued off and like FIFA and UEFA are fully investigated from top to bottom.

There's no way NUFC is important enough to the Saudi's to change their political stance with Qatar. It would involve other countries like the UAE too which simply won't happen. I can see MBS setting a top lawyer to work on the PL to make a point... whilst dropping his interest in buying us and moving on to Spain where he can build a club there with a lot less ****. £13m compo to Ashley won't be paid as an outside party (PL) have frustrated the deal. The penalty was to stop a party just pulling out which neither are doing. Even if £13m compo IS paid then it's chump change to MBS.

If they fail the test then they failed it for a reason. I think we can expect some irritating comments about how great nufc fans are again and soon they'll have a new buyer , but what they really mean is thank **** for that.. I hope they get an owner , but not one that will make them less ****. Our role is a good away day where they come here and beat us while we make alot of noise and a good away following for Monday night football were get can televise us getting hammered.

This, for me. I was struggling with how **** it all was before this takeover farce. If they refuse it, it's got **** all to do with piracy and everything to do with keeping the establishment happy. Even if it's about furthering their own agenda, i.e. demanding more cash from Saudi as part of the deal, that's not right and isn't anything to do with the test they documented. They, like the other governing bodies, need independent assessment and transparency.

I wouldn't read anything into the Mauriss rumour. There's even a quote about 2 months back where he didn't even know what a "Newcastle" was. That was a directly attributed quote. All the current noise around him is just unfounded rumour, from zero reliable sources - Caulkin and Henry Winter of the Times back this up.

What wouldn't surprise me in the slightest is for some other US consortium - Kenyon, most likely - coming out of absolutely nowhere and taking over the club. Mike's a serial liar, but when he said the takeover would not play out in the media, I think he was actually telling the truth.

Ha ha...aye, its ****ing hilarious like. Im convinced that the lad who plays Jay in the inbetweeners cannot play any part any differently....he's probably very like that in real life.

Friday Night Dinner is very good as well.
