It just seems like history is all of a sudden important to blacks? That statue has been there for **** knows how many years....So why now? Why not decades ago?
Honestly? Would rather suck my eyeballs out through a straw than have sex with a nazi laughing ****wit.
There was a black guy the other day, who said he passed it every day and never knew it's history. I suppose it's a fair point, sometimes we just accept things that we see, but we don't question them. Interesting topic to be honest.
It was the same situation as here, mass demonstrations, it was vandalised and people demanding it was removed, so they’ve removed it. Have they expunged their history then?
Oh and why on the topic of statues and in the interests of moral decency, about time this lass put some clothes on... please log in to view this image I bet @Diego would shag it
The history of what Leopold did in Congo is horrific. It was only when the British exposed what he was doing in his private African Kingdom that he was forced to give it up.
Demands blocked at every turn, the council even got blocked trying to put a second plaque on it detailing his part in the slave trade. Which sort of kills the history angle, as they literally got stopped from sharing it on the thing. Yeah it was criminal damage dumping it in the sea.
Because decades ago they would have been in trouble...now the momentum is with them to be able to do the right thing without the law being after them. Plus the majority of the people pulling that statue down were white anyway so I guess the history is important to them too
Apparently there was a vote on it (not sure who voted, the public or the council, i only have Tobes input on this) but the keep won by 55-45%
