    David Croft, co-writer of some of the most god-awful 'comedies' to be inflicted on the British public has died.

    David Croft dies

    David Croft and Jimmy Perry were responsible for such comedy-vaccuums as Dad's Army, Hi-De-Hi!, You Rang, M'Lord? and It Ain't Half Hot Mum. Fortunately for them, the average BBC viewer in the 70s and 80s was as easily amused as the centre-court crowd at Wimbledon fortnight, and they enjoyed a long and 'successful' career.

    aww...loved some of those comedies. Dad's Army was a favourite. I think Clive Dunn is the only one left alive..weirdly! lol..and are you being served..with Mrs Slocombe and her pussy. What was it about David Croft's programmes..everyone died young! Scary!
