You do realise that most English/British are sympathetic or indifferent towards the Irish ?

Other than the Rangers supporters on here who I'm guessing are largely joking, I have never met anyone that doesn't like the Irish .
I have worked with tons of Paddies and never met one with a chip on his shoulder blaming the English living today for historical grievances.

I personally don't get emotional over inanimate objects like statues but I'm against people that live here that hate us and want to destroy our landmarks.

I don't particularly like the French but I was sad when the Notre Dam church burnt in Paris , there were hundreds of N Africans laughing and cheering.
