It is coming down at last (but remember it is a weekend). The figures now to watch are the new case reports (obviously not today...still a time lag on reporting) but on Tuesday and Wednesday. The death statistics run about 21-24 days after the new case reports. At the end of last week it was running at about 1300/day. Far greater than all the other EU countries put together, but concentrated in NW, NE Wales and SW...with one really hotspot in Norfolk
It's still the lowest Monday Beth.... and.... Re EU countries... We were told by many on here that we are 2 weeks behind? In that case, I will wait 2 weeks then compare.
Not two weeks behind now Ellers, we are now the champions...overtook the rest of Europe a good two weeks ago. This is no success but a complete and absolute disaster
Matt Hancock, spoke again with out Scientific advisors. Methinks, they are no longer too keen to be seen in his company
Well, doubtless Jeff will call me another rude name (fill your boots squire, I couldn’t care less), but Hancock stood there and lied about the support offered to care homes from day one of the outbreak (unless discharging infected patients from hospital to care homes is ‘support’) and then said it was perfectly safe to send your elderly or vulnerable back into care homes now. Plus an extra lie (buy one get one free!) about testing in care homes - last month he said everyone - staff and residents - would be tested by early June. Today he announced that this has been achieved - by changing the goalposts to testing being ‘available’ rather than done. Finally he chucks the civil servant next to him under a bus by saying nothing in response to the question ‘should care home residents who pay for themselves be surcharged for extra costs incurred by COVID?’ which is obviously political. Of course any self respecting advisor wouldn’t stand within 100 metres of him, let alone 2. Probably not a head injury, just a really nasty, slimy, piece of work.
This lie will come back as one of the most horrendous and death causing lies of all time. "Hancock stood there and lied about the support offered to care homes from day one of the outbreak (unless discharging infected patients from hospital to care homes is ‘support’) and then said it was perfectly safe to send your elderly or vulnerable back into care homes now."
Depending on the day, the lunar cycle, the latest bit of info/misinfo published - dunno. Sometimes Frustrated, sometimes Dissenting. I’m just tired of being lied to by people who won’t hold themselves accountable for anything. There will be a reckoning.

20000 tickets sold for Auckland v wellington in one day Must look up the regular number for that game
It appears the government will be scrapping that stupid quarantine rule. I said it was a waste of bloody time. Should have been done at the beginning.
So they should. Like the mask thing, it's just to appease public opinion, nothing to do with 'the science'.
