Oh, look - another day without even a glimmer of reason to believe it's happening. Weekend was similarly completely devoid of information. We have now had about 7 weeks of rumour and conjecture based on a single CH document. I was properly suckered in, but at what point do we give up? I mean, we now have respected journalists linking KSA's need to pay for TV rights with the PIF's consortium bid for Newcastle United. The two can't be related - it's not possible, the O&D test is in the PL handbook. Yet we're now in AT LEAST week 10 of this "test" with the only credible rumour I've seen from someone who said they felt the PIF bid had already failed about a month ago.
All I know is that if this forum decided to do a Christmas pantomime there while be fights outside McDonald's for the leading role. Bunch of drama queens
The average person tends to be rational and sane on most things, but sadly, when football madness is concerned, it turns folk into drama queens, childish twats and psychotics. I'm pleased I'm a recovering football fan who likes a tipple now and then. I finally have things under control.
Any news of this? project restart Is done, month end is done, what else could it be holding it up.....
All conceivable obstacles removed, Chronicle now claiming that the O&D test is "paused", and for Ashley/Charnley to carry on "as usual". **** this club, **** the Premier League, **** football. When you have City looking like they're going to threaten their way back into the CL, in spite of overwhelming proof of its dodgy dealings, the footballing world is in a very, very sorry state indeed.
Some would state that fans, in their pursuit of mixing with the big boys, being happy that their club being taken over by very rich owners of questionable ethics, reinforces that statement.
2 board games and a vibrator just arrived in the post, this Monday is slightly better than most Mondays.
Mate I just need Ashley gone. I would be happier with a US consortium, anyone that gives the club its heart and soul back, that allows for a drop of ambition. But it seems to me that everybody is against it.
Yup. I'd probably go follow a local team like Shields or York City if this falls through. I can't be done with MA and this disaster any more
And that further strengthens my statement. And this isnt a dig. Whether we are talking about Newcastle, Sunderland, Catchgate Buffs, fans will sell their souls to enjoy their football. If the Arabs suddenly decided to change their mind and buy Sunderland we would be pissing ourselves. But thats not getting away from the fact that, like you stated, 'the footballing world is in a very, very sorry state indeed.' Jackie Milburn would be doing somersaults in his grave, as would Kevin Kilbane, if he was deed!
