Ah grand, spent a fair bit of time in Mossley Hill. We lived just off Sefton Park and my boys were born in the Womens Hospital. Happy times.
We were on Bessbrook Road just by an awesome bakers shop. Used to walk across Sefton Park to eat on Lark Lane regularly in our pre-child days. Suspect I'm a bit old for a flat on Lark Lane nowadays.
Priti Patel crying over a statue getting dumped in the harbour, lot's of things she could be getting angry, outspoken and upset about, such as deaths in care homes. Failure to shut the UK down sooner. The conflicting messages over face masks. The situation even about Dominic Cummings, but nah, a statue makes a nice political diversion.
Seriously do not get the outrage on social media about a statue of a slave trader (who caused the death of between 15,000 -20,000 slaves on his ships) being torn down. Slave traders were thundercunts of the highest order so it is an offensive joke that the ****ers have statues up in this day and age. Top of the pops re runs edit out Gary Glitter, jimmy saville and Jonathan king and no one one complains (quite rightly imo) about popular culture history being rewritten or censored. Yet on social media it is full of people complaining that "our history is being rewritten and censored". ****ing bizarre behaviour imo.
She’s completely misjudged opinion yet again. She obvs thought that she’d be saying what the majority wanted to hear on this one, but that just isn’t the case it seems.
She has defo misjudged, I couldn't give a shhite about the poxy statue. I'm sure police have better things to be doing than to trace the culprits responsible! They probably did the council a favour.
