I’m no NF my stupid friend, loss of life is tragic especially under those unnecessary circumstances but as much as it is repugnant and abhorrent it has to be dealt with within society’s structure. Rioting & looting is not protesting.
Yeah, probably I did. I’m chilled out here but surprised at the apparent vitriolic recoil from the Thames valley. As I’ve seen no one has said anything other than it was a terrible cowardly act by the American police who think they are beyond the law. Awful as it all is I don’t get the responses.
The rioters and looters are a miniscule number in tens of thousands ... yes it would be preferable if they kept the **** away... but the actions of a few knobheads shouldn't be allowed to deflect from the message behind these protests ... it's high time the police in all countries were made accountable for their actions and given the uncompromising message that if they themselves commit assault, they will be brought to book, no differently to members of the general public commiting such offences.
Most of the protests yesterday appear to have been peaceful. Very little rioting or looting. Probably less than you'd expect to see at Chelsea vs Spurs, for example.
So in your opinion, the actions of a few morons somehow negates the entire largely peaceful protests both across the US and here? Sounds convenient.
Professional? You think they're getting paid? My point is, the media in their usual desperate hunt for drama, choose to focus on the behaviour of a tiny minority of dickheads. Not worth getting worked up about imo. And what is this fetishising of the Cenotaph? I can't see any evidence of it having been vandalised last night. It's right opposite Downing Street, so it's possible someone stood on it. No doubt the Daily Mail, still sore that their side lost WWII, will lead off with a headline like "Anarchist Yobs Piss on War Dead". Didn't happen.
Pretty sure the Mail lead with a violent assault by leftie traffic light on a poor defenceless police horse rider.
