Agreed. The club can't expect a restart to be much later, and it'll be exactly the same for every club so no point in moaning. Time to get heads down and get fit ready for an intense few weeks.
Just had a look at the Championship table not realising that we are "only" six points off 6th. Very doable!
Doable! We were second in the form table, unbeaten in six with Barnsley and Charlton up next. Sixth place was basically a given.
So, we know that football will restart on June 17th, but anyone know when they will actual announce the updated fixtures list?
So the Premiership is all geared up to restart with 33 matches available to watch for free. But why no news on the Championship?
Season ticket holders get access to games on iFollow (assume this is similar to the QPR+ Pass), with games available to purchase for £10 for non-season ticket holders. No fixture list yet though... https://www.efl.com/news/2020/june/sky-bet-championship-returns-to-sky-sports/
The Times has us as the lowest placed club in the Championship with a hope of promotion, but reckons we will continue our sublime to ridiculous performances. Eze rated one of the top Championship prospects and likely to be the subject of PL offers.
Well that's an incentive if ever I saw one. We won't have him next season - he'll be getting splinters in his backside instead so he and Warburton might as well go for broke now to get us up so that we can watch the Play Off final and marvel at the canned roar of the 100,000 virtual fans. He could even be spoiled for choice then. Play for us every week and continue to enhance his reputation or play in some Prem side's reserve team in the hope of making his league debut before the end next season and trot out in the Cup competitions against League 2 opponents. What an enticing prospect for him. Mind you there is the money.
If / when Eze does leave us, I really hope that he chooses a club where he will get hand time in the first team. But of course the “ideal” option would be to say with us for one more season under an improved and extended contract!
I hope that showing all these live matches on TV does not mean no coverage on QPR+. https://www.qpr.co.uk/news/club-news/efl-statement-sky-sports-and-live-streams/
Each. It does seem a tad steep at £90 but I’m owed more than that in refunds for Barnsley and Charlton. Chances are one or two of our games will be on Sky including the final game of the season so probably £60-£70 all in.
It seems a tad expensive at £10 per online game - the quality hasn’t always been great and it isn’t exactly the full blown professional service. However I recognise that clubs will need to get back revenue. Can’t help feel a cheaper price would have got more sign-ups and eventually more revenue. Weren’t many Online prices around £5 previously (not sure if that is right). Will be an interesting revenue model exercise for EFL.
I have been paying QPR £115 per year. Very good quality too this last unfinished season, if you have fast wifi, and being able to watch it in "dark countries" - countries without any TV agreement to show the EFL, for the last few months has meant I could see more matches. Hope this continues whenever the season does start again.
True that QPR+ has always been £5 a game and so it does seem a bit much to have to pay double the price.
