Mental that they've never been charged with anything. Can guarantee they would have if they were from a council estate.

They’d have been in Benidorm or lanzarote if they were and probably wouldn’t have happened.

Anyone know if verbal agreements are legally enforceable reference a tenancy agreement?

For context, my tenancy ran out last August and around September time I agreed over the phone to sign in for another year and we'd sort the paperwork out another day.

Never got round to actually doing it but if he recorded the conversation could he hold me to it?

Doubt it mate, you’ll have just gone into an extension with whatever notice terms were in the original contract, which would usually be 1 months notice from you, and 2 from him.

    ^this.

Your AST automatically goes into a rolling contract. You can give him a months notice.

    Cheers lads!

Pretty much as I suspected anyway to be honest but I just wanted some confirmation before I go and hand a couple of grand to a different landlord and potentially **** myself over.

Good man! Not really G&T weather for me.

Been on a run and it started hammering it down jutmst as I got home. Shower and then a beer or two I think.

Red wine later, got a very decent Portuguese number lined up.

I fancy a drop of red this evening. Got none in. Think I may have a walk to Sainsbury’s.
