The PL will know the legal consequences of this.

My thoughts exactly... if the PL is a block on a member exercising it's legal obligation to 50,000 fans then that surely has to be newsworthy..... and the PL won't like the MSM turned on them....

But lots of folk who read various articles about it won't and that can't sit well with the PL who could become a bit of a villain here.

The lack of communication from NUFC about refunds is very telling.

You know, if you added words like "I think" to the start of 98% of your sentences, you wouldn't get anywhere near the hammering. The problem with making a statement such as this is that it's blatantly not true. Doesn't mean it won't be the case, doesn't mean I'm telling you what to think, it just frames it more accurately.

Yeah, tells us that Mike Ashley is a ****. I reckon that the club will actually sort the refund issue before any takeover progress. Then we'll be scrabbling around for the next excuse as to why the takeover hasn't happened.

To go on a Chaos style descent into negative, this happens on repeat. Won't happen til "project restart" is sorted. Date announced. No takeover. Must be waiting for Poch's release clause to expire. It's expired. No takeover. I know - it'll be June 1st, after accounting period and all that. June 1st, no takeover. Ah, maybe Longstaff's contract is the indicator, well that won't be sorted without a takeover. Next day - new contract offer, no takeover. Got it - the WTO report needs to be released. Guarantee it won't be sorted when it is. Then there'll be "need to secure league status", then "need season to end", and so on. Meanwhile the club is just as silent as it's always been for 13 years and when, eventually, someone gets a comment from Charnley or Ashley it'll be "takeover? what takeover? we never said anything about a takeover, that was you lot coming to you own conclusions. Business as usual".

The take over's off, we'll get relegated next season, Matty will be sold to Italy, Dubravka will be assinated by the Serbian mafia, Schar will be jailed after animal porn is found on his laptop, the Queen will die and Mike Ashley will be crowned King of England, and the whole of Newcastle will be destroyed with an atomic bomb.

Whenever I had a sore throat I used to suck a fisherman's friend in public and nobody bothered.

there's no sign of anything positive happening at all. The stories and links are all back in line with that of the past miserable 13 years.

Sadly this is true. We've had 6 weeks of bollocks over one Companies House doc.

There's been nothing, no movement anywhere on this and over that time there's been a massive simmering of information. I hate to say this, but I firmly believe there's a possibility this takeover was already blocked some weeks ago.

The middle of June was always some kind of deadline for review of the WTO ****/other docs.

Yes the enthusiasm has significantly dissapated, but mid June is the make or break date for me.

I was really June 1st, so I'm almost siding with Chaos!

Signs still suggest it's going to go ahead - George Caulkin, Paul Smith and a number of legal people are still confident. But there's no question that confidence has waned.
