I can't help it, I've never been two faced, I may change my opinions, but I've always said how I see it at the time, sometimes I'm wrong, ocassionaly I'm right, BUT...

I'll always take my chances on being wrong in the first instance. Nowt gained by trying to save face.

Fair play mate. At least you have the courage to admit where you might have misjudged somebody and are open to changing your opinions <ok>

Guardian figures.

Not sure if anyone wants to believe these but they are today's?

These are confimed cases, maybe the extra 8 or so thousand daily infections is based on people showing symptoms, I don't know?

Test track and trace isn't ready, why on earth are we coming out of lock down?

Because we’ve all had enough of it, so we’re taking a bit of a punt. Which I personally have no trouble with, but let’s not pretend we’re “following the science”, because the science is playing catch up the same as everyone else is.

A spike in infections, particularly an unmanageable one, is one of several risks that have to be balanced against each other; the damage to people’s mental health, to the economy, and to the wellbeing of domestic violence victims, are other risks which all warrant serious consideration.

If Boris and his woodentops would come and state that plainly, maybe their honesty would be appreciated. This isn’t an easy call for any government, but it’s made harder by this government’s determination to squander every last drop of public goodwill.

It doesn't say that at all, that's a report from 11th to 24th of May.

It's June 3rd.

LL stated there are currently up to 10000 new infections a day. I said that's not the case. (* based on rates of infection given daily on this tracker app*)

I hope we're all clear now?

Thanks.

* edited to explain where I got my info.

Where are you getting that figure of 5-10,000 infections per day from?

Sorry I was busy and didn't answer sooner. The CMO last week went over the ons data and said 7-9,000. I said 5-10,000 because clearly things have moved on, although not by very much.

This is estimated cases and not confirmed cases which do not include those who self isolate and don't get seriously ill.

I think most of this has already been covered.

Dido Harding is answering questions on the test and trace system at the health committee.

She wont give exact figures but the rough breakdown.

8,000 per day infected
1,600 per day confirmed by test
400 per day providing information to the test and trace system.

So we are currently tracing contacts of one in every twenty infections.

Plus 20% of tests give a false negative so those 1,600 could actually be 2,000. Also only 44% of adults know they can ask for a test if they feel unwell or know someone who has covid-19.

Is it world beating though?

I find it frustrating. I've been listening to the health select commitee, and I'm less patient than Jeremy Hunt, I'd be saying I want the fooking data and I want it now. I really don't give a fook if it's right or not, I will make my own interpretation of what you are producing. It really sounds to me like Baroness Harding is being very vague, I just find it unacceptable and she needs to fook off back to her Jockey club and put someone more competent in charge. But that's just me <whistle>

It was a relatively small pool of candidates once they’d excluded anyone who wasn’t directly related to an MP or party donor.

Boris is renowned for skipping the detail.

He's got no chance against a man who's career has been built on teasing out the finer details.
Shame he couldn’t tease out the finer details with the likes of Saville and Warboys.
