So like i said at the start, at least we are not the only country with a bumbling incompetent government (i assume you count all other country's excess deaths in the same light?)

Maybe they'd see it different if one of their loved ones died !
Because they haven't it doesn't seem to matter !
Maybe they lack just the basics of humanity ?

They are responsible for disregarding the WHO advice on testing, for Bojob missing 5 Cobra meetings, for assuming that there would be little or no impact of the virus on care homes, for not joining the EU combined resourcing of equipment, and for not going into lockdown quickly enough.

Apart from that they have done an absolutely blinding job <ok>

At least you have some sort of definition for "they", the government. For some it's just a vague all encompassing term for people they disagree with <laugh>

We had that many spare rooms in care homes <yikes>

Some people will be wondering why they couldn't find space for their aged loved ones before this now.

The cost is ****ing scandalous mate. My ex worked in quite a few care homes and the fees in no way represented the outlay for staff or standard of food, rooms etc that was on offer

I know my workmate had his mother and step father in at one point !
It was about £1200 per week for both .
His mother passed away but his step father still in at £700 per week .
Him and his sister got left their home but it is frozen .
I think it can be taken as payments til it goes down to about £27,000
