I’m guessing a straight red for violent conduct wouldn’t be rescinded in the same circumstances. Is that right @tomw24?
This is an interesting scenario. What would happen if Söyüncü had made a dangerous tackle to stop Shane and then found that Shane was offside first? Edit Beat me to it Chilcs
I suppose it would come down to what the red is for. If the red was for a professional foul then it would be rescinded as technically there was no foul as he was offside before he was 'fouled'. If for violent conduct, I imagine it would stay as violent conduct is violent conduct, it doesn't matter if the ball is in play or not?
So after today's news seems like a good time to bump this? Only fair to start with one of mine... And then we'll go with one from Magic...
If Sheffield United beat Villa in the first game back then you can pick it then And there's no chance of us going down from this position now mate, absolutely no chance
Going back to that night, and how bad we were then and then a few months later beat Spurs, Chelsea and Leicester in a short space of time just shows what a good manager we have. I can't help but think what Ralph could do if he was told he could go out and get 3 or 4 players of his choosing.
We've been essentially safe since the win at Palace early in the year, never a realistic chance that we'd not get the needed points after that imo. Gotta nice start too, reckon we'll get at least 5 from Norwich, Arsenal and Watford and then that'll be job done.
This x2. Just add Man City to that list. I feel this season there is a huge opportunity for a less fancied team to shake it up at the top end of the table. Not saying win it, but top 4 race could be so open.
Ha, yep a 4-6 away win at west ham to seal the title, last on MOTD, a mention of the 0-9, some patronising chat from Danny Murphy and Vin still cursing.
