Far from it when Peter Bone has been writing articles in the press. You really are scared of the issue as it exposes your blind loyalty against the reason of most thinking people.
I haven't seen Peter since he graciously showed us around parliament. Lots of different people have different views on subjects and people. The PM has backed his trusted adviser because he seriously rates his ability, that is his prerogative. He might leave when we finally ditch the dreaded EU at the end of the year. His work and his service to the country would have been well and truly fulfilled.
Right, so just say that Bone is wrong, along with a third of the Parliamentary party. You are now happy to accept the lies that have been told, and proved, by Johnson and Cummings and do not think that matters? People of principle such as Bone are to be thrown under your party bus. Is that your opinion? You want to debate, so here is your chance to actually say what you believe.
Day 1 of the schools re-opening and- seven staff in a Derby school test positive, causing it to close again. Who could have predicted it?
This ^ is abject nonsense. Nissan produce around 340-450,000 cars per year in Sunderland dependant on the market conditions. Their U.K. market share is 3-4%, so they sell around 77-85,000 cars a year here. Volume at that level wouldn’t sustain that plant, which currently exports 70% of its production to the EU. Plus, if you think Mercedes and BMW drivers are going to switch to Kia and Hyundai due to tariffs, then you need to give your head a wobble.
I had all this information the day before it broke in the UK. If you look above you will see a rough outline of how Nissan-Renault- Mitsubishi are planning to sort out their whole business production and sales to seperate parts of the world. The UK Nissan unit will be to supply the UK market only, as Renault are taking over the European part of the alliance. Common unseen parts will be supplied from Renault to Nissan, but any problems with tariffs or just in time deliveries will make it impossible for Nissan to continue. There are no plans to source these materials from outside the alliance.
The matter is closed. Cummings will stay to see out Brexit, in which he played a significant part, then I believe he will leave his present position. Nobody takes any notice of your hysterics, that was yesterday's news. Boris and the government have already had a bounce in popularity since the Cummings issue, the public have moved on, leaving you talking to just yourself.
You are not taking into account the new tariffs on cars from the EU. Nissan will also use Sunderland to export to other non EU countries, they clearly have a plan.
Let's be honest SH, you wish the issue was closed. It does leave you in a very difficult situation when you have to be seen to support either the lying PM and his advisor, or someone who I really disagree with, but don't doubt his honesty. It is up to you to state which you support, and that will let us see how you regard such matters, and then we can debate the other issues that keep cropping up.
Yes they have a plan, and it does not include exporting to the EU or other non EU countries from Sunderland.
No, you’re just avoiding the actual facts. Why would a manufacturer continue their U.K. presence long term when 70% of their production would be subject to a 10% tariff that would make their product uncompetitive? Just saying they’ll switch the production to other markets completely ignores the fact that those markets are already been served by their other plants. Here’s a prediction for you, in the event of a ‘no deal’. Nissan will slowly but surely start supplying the European market from Japan, as the sliding scale of tariffs reduces in the coming years. Renault will simultaneously slowly but surely move the production of their badge engineered Nissan product to France.
Johnson lied to the British public solely to try and save the skin of a SPAD, who also lied through his teeth to the British public. He then instructed some of his senior cabinet members to tour the TV and radio studios doing exactly the same thing. Making up ridiculous scenarios to try and justify a 60 mile ‘eye test’. It’d have been comical if it wasn’t for the fact that it was completely insulting the intelligence of the entire populous. And here’s you defending it, like a loyal serf.
Amazing how an unelected bureaucrat is now deserving of unflinching support from this particular Brexiter. I though they were down on those sorts? Hey ho.
You are still making the same old 'remoaner' mistakes. If Nissan were mainly concerned about supplying the European market they would have closed the UK plant. They clearly have a plan which is beyond your comprehension. At this stage it is welcome news that redundancies affect foreign countries rather than the UK.
Apart from a few desperate anti Tories the matter is closed. The PM has made his decision, it will eventually be judged long term by the public. I suggest by the time the next election comes around it will near the bottom of the list of the public's concerns.
Keep wriggling SH. You have only been asked to choose between the lying part and the honest part of the Tory party.
Very wrong... BoJo has marked his card, the upper echelons of the Tory party do not like to be made to look stupid and have a record for ditching failing leaders...... time will tell on this one.... but BoJo and his crew will fry when the enquiry post hoc takes place...
While Boris remains popular and pushes the Brexit completion agenda he will remain. He has a very large majority to ensure his ideas become government policy. There is no election for many years so the opposition have to rely on trivial issues to pretend they are making any difference at all.
