I think he was better last season, but basically, when he isn't playing up front as a big striker (which he evidently isn't) he's one the only players they have that can run/create anything...A bit like Gutierrez I guess?

Not a single player from their team would get in ours at present. Gordon is possibly better than Krul but in time Krul will be better and the ****er is always inured anyway. I like Sess but who would he be in front of? Ben Arfa and Marveaux can't get in so Larsson, Egyptian kid, Richardson etc wouldn't get close. Did someone really say Colback, Vaughan, Cattermole, Gardner are all better than Tiote and Cabaye?? Not one is fit to lace eithers boots. My particular favourite is this though:

"Pardew is similar to Pulis, sends out an organised direct team who all know exactly what their jobs are. A good recipe for mid table."

Ever bothered to watch us bar the game we played against them? We play passing possession football now. We are very organised though and we do have a good recipe for mid table. The bitterness is unreal. I might have to revise my prediction for this season before long, my nose won't stop bleeding!!!!!!!!!!

The only point I do agree with, is when injury hits we may struggle. Especially in defence, but don't think we'll struggle to stay in the league.
Midfield is well covered, up front is a worry.

For now 6 games in 12 on the board, just sitting back and enjoying the ride for now.

If we are in a similar position toward the end of the season, then I'll laugh at them :D

I wouldn't even have Sessegnon in our team at the moment, he has been playing like **** this year. I think he had four or five of the worst shots of the year against Norwich.

I have to say, maybe I'm biased, but I wouldn't break up the tightest defence in the league for the sake of Bardsley and O'Shea.

LB is our weakest link, so Bardsley gets in for now <ok>

May be our weakest link, but I still wouldn't break up the unit and I've seen the massive panic on there over the fact Santon is far better than anything they have, so maybe in a few weeks we can oust Bardsley from everyones NE11 ;)

Agree, all I saw from him last night was poor shooting and poor passing.

Our defence has been solid becasue of Collo and Taylor mostly. Bardsley is better than Raylor IMO, but if santon finds some form he could be one of the best Left backs around :)

"He was comparing your organisation to Stoke. Stoke's team is full of safc rejects and championship fodder. Without top top organisation they'd be ****ed. Similar situation to you lot. We have nee organisation and therefore we're ****ed."

So Ben Arfa, Marveaux, Tiote, Cabaye, Santon, Collocini & Steven Taylor are all Championship fodder and yet each one has played in Europe more than their entire club has in its history? <doh>
Not to mention the fact that the majority of those aforementioned have won trophies at their previous clubs & we also have other players in the first 11 & squad who are established internationals!

I don't expect us to sit 4th all season or even break the top 6, but we should definitely be around the top 10 by the end of the 38th game, I mean a worse Newcastle team last season on paper only just missed out!

I'm enjoying watching the Mackems squirm. Yes we are only 6 games in but it was the other way round the twats would be laughing their socks off.

Our team has a spirit and fight they dont, as soon as they go behind theit heads go down.

It is very satisfying to see them doing so poorly when we are doing so well, especially after their arrogance in the summer regarding us losing our "best" players and them signing a couple of "champion's league winners".

I do feel sorry for some of their more sensible fans mind.

To be honest, where the midfield is concerned, there's no comparison. But it's not based on a player by player comparison. Your midfield plays in the middle of the field, hence the name - clever, eh? Bruce, however, has ours playing immediately in front of the back four, which leaves a big hole hole in the middle so the two strikers are left isolated and the opposition midfield can control possession. Why does he do this - who knows? It's beyond me. Norwich must have thought Christmas had come early last night.

Sessegnon is not a striker, what he is is a very good link man who plays the forwards in. Bendtner, who is a striker, had to drop so deep to get a sniff of the ball that when he got it he was 30 - 40 yards from goals with a host of defenders in the way and Lionel Messi he is not. All our midfielders can play football; the problem is that the system Bruce is using doesn't let them and we made Norwich look like Euro contenders FFS!

Here's my team I would have with both squads:

    Krul
    W Brown
    Saylor
    Coloccini
    Santon
    Ben Arfa
    Cabaye
    Tiote
    Jonas
    Best
    Ba

Subs: Harper, O'Shea, Turner, Marveaux, Richardson, Lovenkrands, Wickham.

    Manager: Alan Pardew
    Stadium: St James

(The only reason Brown gets in is because Simpson/Raylor couldn't defend their kid being picked on, never mind our goal.)
