Thanks to cummings, Johnson and the rest of this government, we have one of the highest death rates in the WORLD, a ****ed economy, total distrust in anything they say, lie after lie, misleading statistics daily and a few more years of it. Certainly the worst PM and government in my lifetime.

You have just proven my point...The Guardian. :emoticon-0100-smile I watched the news this morning and I had to wait 20 mins in before his name was briefly mentioned ( all of 5 seconds). You waste of your time on it because I am preparing to visit family on Monday. :emoticon-0148-yes:

Not at all, you honestly think that’s the only media outlet mentioning him? If you’re sticking your fingers in your ears that doesn’t make you right.

oh a slight side story from a Tory who voted against bills against up skirting and fgm. This dinosaur should have been put out to pasture years ago. Absolute disgusting human being.

Bloody hell you are getting desperate now! I have just seen the front pages of the papers and other than the Guardian (witch hunt) no others mention anything! Even the Mirror is onto something else. You said the story wouldn’t go away... like I said as soon as restrictions ease no one will give a F22k... apart from you and a few others. You need to get out more Wills, enjoy the sun, have a BBQ and stop worrying about Dom because no one else is.

People still care and he’ll do the party damage as long as he’s there when it matters. Obviously it’s not going to be front page news for the rest of time but you can’t seriously think this whole episode is not going to do long term damage to Johnson and the party. Probably not as much damage as having the second-worst excess death rate in the entire world should do but they’ve got by remarkably unscathed so far on that one.

Funny we were the worst the other day until Spain put their figures out? Just wait for the rest? We should have done the same as the Germans? I will wait until all the figures are out because I think it will surprise a few.
As for Cummings, the damage is done and in 4 years people will be voting on things other than him.

Of the available excess death figures which are more robust than any Covid-specific numbers and the one we were told by the bods on stage to pay most attention to we are well ahead of Spain I believe. Spain have a marginally higher Covid deaths per million. Well done Peru for beating us.

You keep wishing, mate. It’s not based on anything logical but it doesn’t hurt anyone to stay positive I suppose. I have no doubt we’ll be told to focus on whichever stat makes us look least **** and the herd will decide that was always the most important one all along.

David Schneider still seems to care and the over one thousand two hundred that have responded in the last 2 hours.

I don’t wish for anything I just read the facts and don’t get blinded by political hatred. You just won’t accept what’s in front of you. No matter what the government do it will be wrong in your eyes. You always look for some angle when most of the time there is nothing to look for.
As I said on my original post when this all started. I will wait until all the information is in before I judge.

It is wishful thinking if you think we are somehow going to be proven to have fared better than most comparable nations. The excess death numbers are the most robust of any and they demonstrate we’ve made an absolute hash of it despite all the advantages we had. Bury your head in the sand all you like.

Do let me know when enough information is in for you to make the call.

What advantages! You see you just don’t understand do you. Are we talking the lockdown delay? Why don’t any of you ever discuss the facts that we know it was in France in November and probably here as well. What advantage did we have Dr Watford?

It’s not a coincidence that countries that locked down early fared best. Sort of ****s on your confirmation bias story from France.

We are an island and we had time to see what was happening on the continent. We still aren’t putting any sort of restrictions into airports until tomorrow, months after it was happening elsewhere.

You fail again because your Political hatred blinds your judgement.
My bias story is in fact correct... here I will show you in your paper:
    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...tal-discovers-covid-19-case-december-retested

As for France we can compare when they finally tell us about the amount of deaths at “home” which they don’t count. By the way if you took that figure off ours, we would be a lot lower. That is fact so get it into your head and remember it. Remember this as well, Macron had 1b masks Incinerated before the pandemic for cost cutting reasons. He then tried to buy as many as he could leaving many countries including us short. That is a fact as well! So when you blame the government for shortages in PPE ask why rather than moan?
    https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/...cemask-fiasco-burns-deep-for-macron-kfkbdsd57

you are correct in the lockdown of the airport. That is one area where the government has failed. I remember at the time them saying it wasn’t a problem as people in lockdown wouldn’t have met the inbound passengers. However we also have to remember we had to bring home 2m people from abroad?
