Just use imminent. The word has no definitive meaning other than at some point. Thus it could be decades away but in the context of time decades is imminent. Hence the word.

Another word. Sources and in actual terms “our sources” is another word that gets my balls in a pinch. That two word phrase means any ****er who said owt. The sources can say whatever they like because they don’t actually know.

Finally the other one word that ****ing slashes my nuts is flag. Who has ever actually raised a flag at the fa when giving a verdict on a directors test. Do people wait for a flag on top of the building to say yes or no? No they ****ing don’t!

Right must get up out of the right side of the bed......... see don’t get me started on that phrase!

Will any of you lot care when the stadium is demolished to facilitate some prime real estate? You’ll probably end up with a nice new, bigger stadium on the outskirts of town somewhere. The Rueben brothers are being brought in for this reason I’d imagine.

We may well build a new stadium.

However the land at SJP is owned by the council

That'll be why staveleys been talking to them.

So mr forbes, you know that piece of prime real estate that currently has a football stadium built on it which I would imagine is worth hundreds of millions of pounds to you? How much do you wanna pay us to move and build a new stadium somewhere else?

I love SJP, its location and the history around it. Its exactly that tho....history. We haven't been exactly steeped in glory there over the years, we haven't won numerous titles and had trophy parades etc etc there. Maybe it is time to welcome a new dawn, close one chapter of the clubs history and open a new one with new owners, a new home and a new era of galactico's clad in the black and white.

If it were to happen I'd love it to be down where the arena is now. Right on the banks of the tyne, still in the city centre and close enough to the poobs and cloobs. Town Moor potentially would be an option but more hoops to jump through i think for that to happen....can't really think of anywhere else.

They would surely have to allow chippy to cut the red tape to officially declare the new shiny bogs open....and then let him christen them with a massive Eartha !!

The only issue I would have with a new stadium is purely the name.

I really don't want to watch us play at the Aramco Arena or some other bull **** name

I don't think any fan would want to leave SJP. However I think we all realise its probably going to be a reality of any takeover. It'll be a real shame to not have the stadium dominating the city skyline and there is something special about the mass descent on the city centre every match day.

Maybe Staveley has been discussing just how listed the buildings are down the East Stand side <laugh>

I always thought that they could build a double decker stand on the East stand
or a triple decker to go level with Level 7

Meh, in the grand scheme of things, getting rid of the fat **** ranks higher than having to move stadium.

As iconic as our wonky stadium is, moving still won't be the end of the club.

It would be nice to have it symmetrical all the way round (be a bloody amazing sight). I also think its not impossible, for all its unlikely. Its one of the reasons why Ashley screwed us with the selling off of the land at Strawberry Place.

I believe the University owns some of Leazes Tce (?), some of them flats are privately owned. So even if you could get them delisted (not impossible given Wembley Towers were also listed...), you'd still have to make an eye watering offer to the Uni and private residents. It isn't the nightmare that's always been presented, you just need someone with deep pockets and vision. I'm trying the think if we know anyone??

I'm actually quite fond of the lopsided wonder that is St James. I don't see why we would need to move any time soon. 55K is well big enough for us.

Takeover has to be completed. Why else would the man City game be at a neutral venues when the arsenal v Spurs game won't be?

I think the neutral venue should be in Riyadh
