I bought some BBQ stuff yesterday, bamboo skewers and a smoking board. Once I sort some storage in the garage I'll get the BBQ ordered.
Ive got a small thing on Wheels at the mo, too small for me tbh and it's round in shape, but recently bought a new cooker and kept the grills and racks from it incase I make my own bbq, there's a little square corner in my garden that's unused space I was thinking of making one with some bricks and those racks eventually
Brecon Gin and Fever Tree tonic. Bit early but **** it, it's a Bank Holiday and I haven't stopped all day.
Doing a bbq later. marinating chicken in the left over jerk seasoning from the other week. Also smothered it in shop bought buffalo sauce. Pork shoulder steaks marinating in the same rub I make for pulled pork. also making lamb kebabs. Bought leg steaks which I have diced. Didn’t know what to marinade them with, so mixed, onion powder, garlic powder, cumin, celery salt and pepper. Will skewer with haloumi.
Got some seasoned wood coming from a mate, bought some wood chips for smoking. I've got all the gear in now and the BBQ arriving soon. Planning on doing some smoked fish was my first dish.
That seems a waste of wood chips. Buy a beef brisket. 8 hours in the smoker. Think you just season and add mustard powder.
That said I had an Arbroath smokie once Somewhere in London for breakfast and it was amazing. Think it’s made with haddock. @A.L.D.O 4.1 to confirm.
