Yes, she should resign. She's an idiot.

I love the righties crying about this story 'being dragged on' when they're still making excuses a week later <laugh>

No defending the indefensible. She should indeed go. As for the idea Cummings was " just trying to look after his son", it baffles me that anyone could possibly believe that based in the information but it seems many people including the PM are happy to defend the indefensible.

The situations are indeed analogous. Labour councillor and Cummings both breached and should both go. Neither will though as the rules just only apply to the general populace.

PS. It is worth noting though that the general populace only actually get fined, they don't lose their jobs!

I agree... but there is one major difference... the silly bitch wasn't key to implementing the lockdown restrictions ... but both flouted them and should be held accountable.

    An excellent point.

The general populace didn't implement the lockdown measures.

If you were key to that implementation though ... then your continued employment in that role of national responsibility seems untenable ... and Kustard and Pete have liked your post, so fair play to them <cheers>

Honestly I've found Pete to be pretty reasonable in the main recently. We've got very different views on politics but doesn't mean we have to disagree on everything or get annoyed with each other.

One of the things I hate most about politics is when parties disagree with each other for the sake of it. As for the cheering and heckling in the house of commons, if the kids at school did that during a debate they'd be given short shrift.

    Down with Brexit
    Down with the Tory scum

    Booooooooooooooooooo

Now I'm going to write a strongly worded email to the Government to demand they make EVERYONE stay at home for longer.

I want them to force me to wear rubber gloves and a mask on my Government alloted outside time too.

I hope the economy really tanks so Boris looks bad .
