Why, weeks overdue? How long was it supposed to take? When did the process start? Where is there any time prescribed for the process? Could there be another reason why it’s taking this length of time?

It's a possibility, yes. However imagine how much happier you may be if you go with it being on no matter the stories that the journos spool out to sell their papers / get their advert views online. Yes it will suck if it falls though, but its going to suck whatever your view on it now.

I see why people do this , but there's another angle on this and that is that if you expect the worst you wont be disappointed. I do get why people do as you say, but I'm too honest for my own good

I have taken a pay reduction as part of the management team and the GM has put each shift on 3 weeks furlough back to back. But because orders are at 90% he has had them doing 50 hour weeks. So they are taking home 12 hours a week overtime. So over the three weeks on 80% gov funding and three weeks Working they are getting 105% salary. I am working longer for a ****ing cut. Thankfully I am not part of the senior management team as they are ****wits.
I'm guessing all these cases are asymptomatic. As you don't get a test unless you exhibit symptoms then there's plenty of scope for confirmed cases in football as everyone is tested, but not the general population due to lack of testing there
