Yeh just saw the video on GC.

Tragic. All he was doing was cashing in some dodgy cheque or summnt.

Think he was off his head but no excuses for the way he was treated.

Murder or manslaughter don't know but either way the copper's an absolute **** for killing him.

It's murder imo though I bet they'll get off lightly. Absolutely no need to keep the pressure on the way he did.

    It's a ****ing grim watch tbf :(

Yeh agree, usually in restraint training (not sure if same with police) you only apply as much pressure to counter the force you're resisting. So if the person eases off, so do you whilst being prepared to reapply if they kick off again.

I didn't watch all of it. There's no expression from the copper from the bit I saw to tell what his motives were.

Can't say I've seen the full context of what happened, but I saw his knee on the guys neck, didn't look good and seems a very extreme form of restraint.Surpised the locals didn't trash the cop shop.

They also held a protest march, and got tear gassed and pelted with rubber bullets.

Compare and contrast with a bunch of gun toting MAGA white supremacists marching into a Govt building the other week, with semi automatic rifles and being left to their own devices.

    Funny that.

Just went and watch the vid on GC. I don't know what training or medical knowledge they have on that restraint, only knows what that cop thought he was doing. Shocking!

Mate just sent me this pic. That’s the coastguard helicopter in the cove and my mate Jo standing on the cliff, roped up and ready to go over.

apparently some numpty had tried to sail their yacht inside of the reef and holed it, then tried to land it in a rocky cove with a big swell running. It was a race to see who got their first, the lifeboat, heli or the coastguard search and rescue.

As far as I know everybody on board was saved, not sure if they were winched off or got onto the lifeboat.
