Former Manchester City defender Glyn Pardoe - the club's youngest ever debutant - has died at the age of 73. Pardoe made his City debut in April 1962 at the age of 15 years and 341 days old and spent his entire playing career with the club. He was part of the 1968 league-winning side and scored the winning goal in the 1970 League Cup final. RIP
Didn’t realise that his career was cut short by a leg break courtesy of a ‘horrific’ tackle (allegedly) by George Best. Also didn’t realise that fellow defender in that City team - Alan Oakes - was Pardoe’s cousin
Must be Matt. Looks 50:50 to me as well. It was a Man City post that used the word ‘horrific’ - hence my use of the word allegedly

"Christian came to the club in January and proved to be an extremely popular member of the squad. "His loss will be painfully felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing him." RIP
Bests touch was poor taking the ball away from him but I don’t think there was intent, he was 10 stone soaking wet when he was playing
