    You keep saying this about schools, but what is it you want the Govt to tell you?
    They’ve said schools can open after 1st June. The decision now lies with the individual school or the Local Authority if they’re under their control. The Govt can’t tell you anything else, parents need to just ask their school.

    The usual knots of people on Anlaby Road this afty near Sandringham St in particular. Teens, drinkers, groups of not very bright folk etc.....not sure how many of them have a view on Cummings.

    I think we're saying the same thing.

    The media, when this DC "scoop" first came out, should have set the scene by only reporting that he seems to have broken the rules, DON"T DO IT YOURSELF, stick to the medical advice, and investigate later ( set up an enquiry). It's detracted from the most important issues being faced here.

    If there is a wave of "I can do as I want" based on some politico not following sensible advise, then the population are not thinking straight in all cases.

    The press/media have inflated this far too far.

    Jusr so you understand my opinion, I am not defending anyone here. Media and govermnent have handled this issue very badly.

    If this was '12 Angry Men' we've still got a lot of angry (wo)men, from both sides of the argument

    I suspect however from todays media defence / presentation the 'reasonable doubt' presented by DC of the allegations / doubts presented by the press etc will be enough for him to continue

    I’m sure he also started the conference by saying 'Thanks for Cumming' ;)

    Low numbers at the moment and that’s a blessing but having watched the hoards sunbathing at resorts and parks I wouldn’t be surprised to see a spike of infections in two weeks time.

    As I've already suggested earlier - hang the bastard(s) later. Get this side issue off the table & attack the critical issues and get the media to broadcast that people should follow the sensible advice.
