I've been lurking in the background for years now, page 436 on the takeover thread seems the appropriate time to say hello.... Think people also need to remember while we are patiently waiting on each day for news, for the Saudis, its a business transaction, they have no need to rush into an announcement...It could already done and they just want to enjoy they weekend before any announcement for all we know. I have personally been involved in contract negotiations etc, its amazing how when is all is settled, there can be a lag between announcement for benign reasons...Why as a business owner, and you have acquired some assets, their is no incentive for you to make an announcement straight away, you first want to asses what your plans/strategy is going to be with the assets etc... It would be foolish to just rush around telling everyone you have brought something without also being able to tell them what your purpose with it is...
I think this definitively proves the point. From the rumours and such it would appear they are quietly and diligently going about the business of putting a complete plan in place.
Don't want to debate endlessly, but those are criticisms of my word processing skills. The criticism I was making (while quite possibly missing the point) was in word usage The pedant's defence rests.
