    That's nonsense. The life expectancy for your average Scot is actually 81 for women and 76 for men. I suspect you've lifted the figures for the worst inner-city area of Glasgow where the stats are indeed shockingly low.

    You misunderstand the difference between actual life expectancy (76 for m, 80 for w in Scotland) and Healthy Life Expectancy (HLE).
