It might have something to do with people adhering to the lockdown rules for two months, not being able to say goodbye to loved ones, holding remote funerals etc. while this **** can blatantly do what he wants and despite being an unelected bureaucrat can have the entire cabinet rally round for him and pretend he’s father of the year rather than just own up that he broke the rules.

As you know, he's part of the SAGE group, who came out with the guidance that if anyone in your household shows symptoms you must stay home for 14 days.

The Scottish CMO was a stupid cow. Not defending her, but the two cases are conpletely different, she only travelled 45 miles, to an empty property and wasn't a CoVid carrier - and she had the decency to resign as soon as it became public.

I’d still like to know if they’ve been in touch with the staff at the various petrol stations, service stations etc. they’d have stopped at to let them know to get tested.

His care may have made the journey without a petrol stop? I am sure the media will probably bring in a car specialist and experts to investigate the route he took. I am also sure people will come forward Saying they saw the car pass and at what time. The BBC will probably offer a Panorama special on this incident.

The health minister here was caught twice travelling unnecessarily during the early days of lockdown
No point sacking him during the crisis as he has an important job to do but he knows he's gone once it's over
An advisor would have gone the next day
The UK government made the rules for the peasants
The least they can do is abide by them

You reckon he drove 260 miles there and back with a four-year-old and didn’t stop? All while his wife was suffering from Coronavirus and he, according to her article, was at death’s door. Yeah ok.

They might have an Audi like the one that got from London to Scotland and back on one tank on Top Gear

You're so badly missing the point Ellers.....the government stated that you MUST stay at home, and he didn't. Does the guidance not count for him (or anyone else that decides to do a cross-country trip)?

He wasn’t a deaths door? He only had mild symptoms and I don’t even believe he was tested ( I maybe wrong on testing). He felt that he and his kid would be better off there. I don’t get the attention. Letting thousands cram onto tubes everyday is far worse.

You’d struggle to get 520 miles from a tank I think it’s fair to say. Though that’s more believable than a four-year-old happily sitting in a car without needing a piss for five hours.

I’d have thought you were an avid reader of his wife’s work. People don’t tend to cram on the tube knowingly having Coronavirus. They’re also not breaking the lockdown rules by doing so assuming they’re going to work.

Boris might have arranged a refuelling tanker to keep filling it up so they didn't even have to stop

He must have thought he'd got away with it.

Also, if it was so safe and not against any of the lockdown rules, why not announce what he intended to do, at the time, to avoid any confusion?

What he did was, at the time against the guidelines he no doubt helped produce. His wife put out a written tale of his illness. No.10 have put out a statement which totally contradicts what happened. Nobody can trust these lot and that's the bottom line
