Todays tally... So Bob ...no we haven't tested100,000 people yet...again. I now know the reason why. They take throat swabs and nasal swabs...and they count them as two seperate tests. (You know like you have two hands and so there are two gloves) I believe this may also be why there is so many unclear results too...as one may come back positive and the other negative.
Probably being dumb but if they’re counting both tests individually why is the tests per person marginally under two? Or some people don’t do both such as those done at home?
If we are an exemplar to the world with the second-worst death toll we can be whatever we want to be.
Not asking about tests today. No ****ing point. They just say whatever they like and people swallow it.
They are obviously not doing every sample as two. I still do not quite get it. I wish it was a bit more transparent BUT What is becoming clear to the scientific community is that one of the reason for not allowing smaller labs (e.g. the in hospital virology labs who have always done the tests) to do the tests but to centralise the testing is to keep more control over the results. The method of sampling, and the fact a large number are now done at home, means that far too many tests are not sampled correctly and so fail The test itself is not really very robust, and has needed to be checked against other tests (in the USA) during the screening process, normally this is done before the tests are even approved. The level of virus needs to be fairly high. If you show the symptoms you are encouraged to get a test quick (within 7 days), as the levels seem to drop below the sensitivity of the tests relatively quickly. Also the information is confused. If you have symptoms you are told to get a test immediately ( with the symptoms supposed to appear 4-7 days after infection) and to immediately self isolate. So most people are not getting a test immediately and i9solating before thinking of going on line etc to get a test and then add into that the time to send out a test and do it and then send it back whilst self isolating all within 7 days is asking a lot. There is an apparent ground swell of tghought that goes "I have it..I will get better or I wont and if I go then into hospital I will be tested
No no no do try to keep up, we’re clapping because it’s now been declared compulsory by Karen from Basildon on Facebook, cause she was at the park ‘innit with little Tarquinius and Chlamydia talking to the other single mums on benefits ‘innit and they had a chats ‘innit and them decided it a good fing innit to make up a noise ‘innit bruh for dem Nurses at da hospital ‘innit, cause them is dead good at the virus fing ‘innit....................... In other news from Facebook Daft Derek from conspiracies is us has said if you stick a raw carrot up ya Jacksie to block the opening, you cannot get Covid19 from your local 5G mast, and he knows his stuff cause he’s good friends with HooFlung Dung from the Chinese 5G factory in Wuhan.
Now unless I’m mistaken they said they would do 100,000 tests a day, they didn’t say they would test 100,000 people a day, semantics I know, but if that’s the case technically they haven’t lied about it
And in other news Boris from Downing St says go to work it's safe, dont go to work, take the tube but dont go on the tube. Start on wednesday which is the new monday.
He’s not wrong though because the last bank holiday Monday was on Friday, which technically makes Wednesday next Monday which is a bank holiday as well which means you can only go to work if you don’t work in a bank, has that cleared it up for you.
