A bit belatedly (my apologies, been busy recently), my view on Balls' financial plan is that he's trying to make us forget that he was partly at fault for the recession. He pushed through numerous poor deals in favour of the banks, and advised PM Brown to sell the gold at a time when the gold market was decimated, thus rendering it worthless.

it's all well and good saying that you will cut the VAT rate, but you're not in power, and the tories don't respect you, why make rash statements and have ideas that the government will not listen to? Plus in these dire economic times, loans for startup and small businesses are ridiculous. We cannot afford them, and thats where his plans also go wrong. He's making ideas he cannot enforce, with money he does not have, for people who just won't listen. Can't wait to hear the Chancellor's take on it.

What about you? Do you agree with Ed's ideas, or do you also vote Conservative?

Nothing wrong with politics. If you don't pay attention to politics, you don't know what changes are going to be made to the country. I assume you don't watch the news either? Thats the problem with us youngsters today, we don't care enough about important things.

At least the Tories have the strength to make tough, unpopular decisions. Labour could never make the spending cuts/reforms necessary to get the country back on it's feet.

I love politics. All the moaning, fighting, backtracking, it's just like a TV soap, only with real people, not actors.

It's because the Tories are arrogant, and sometimes thats a good thing. It means they have the conviction to go through with their plans, despite public outcry. That said though, they ave made a fair few policy U-Turns though i suppose those liberal bastards are to blame.

So do i, due to the fake, improbable scenarios, and the hopeless actors, and thats the beauty of politics. Only probable scenarios, and no actors.

I studied Politics for A Level and got a D but that could be down to the fact I'm a lazy bastard instead of interest or intelligence issues.

I didn't get the option to study politics. I ended up doing law, Media and Business.

No, i want to be a proper solicitor, not an injury at work kind. I'm talking high court prosecutor here, not injurylawyers4u.

That's ok then. As long as you adhere to the fundamental principle of justice instead of becoming a greedy ambulance chaser.
