I actually love watching Starmer. Not anything to do with his views, but to do with precisely that gif of the cat you posted. His psychological handling of Boris, amuses me.

The dagger is in, the disgusting astronomical rises in visas for overseas NHS staff.

All he could answer was how great the NHS was, what a piece of excrement Johnson is.

    Tory scum.

The most damning thing for me is the confirmation that it wasn't until 15 April that we started testing those being discharged from hospital <doh> ... ffs... so, in essence, we were creating ticking time bombs for our care homes ... admitting old folks with the virus into enclosed communities where the carers had inadequate, or no, PPE and weren't getting tested either ... and we wonder why are death rates are so in excess of China, Germany, South Korea, New Zealand and the rest? ...

...simples really ... those countries aren't being run by a bunch of incompetent Tangnuts ...

Simply, that the idea is bound to fail because there is absolutely no way that sufficient numbers of the British public will embrace it ... <cheers>

    No offence taken

In my experience this theory of 'let them choose when they grow up' does not exist...the person finds it very difficult to remove themselves from whatever they are raised as. If you are not raising your child to be God conscious...then by default you are raising them to be the opposite.

Yet to meet an adult who said that they introduced their kid to all the faiths once they had grown up because now they can make a choice...yet to see a single example of such a person.

I think it's unfair to put them through that after almost 2 decades of avoiding it. How does that work anyway? So my children don't see my religious practices? Don't ask, don't learn about them as they are growing? Impossible

It doesn't work...nor does it exist...the box labelled 'there is no god' is also a very small, narrow box you fit your child into

You're quite interesting when hungry, and have whatever mood this is, head on.

My mum was what she would call, and I assume, many people would know as CofE. Although I can't actually ever remember her practising it, if that's the right word, by that I mean by going to church. Nor was I taught it at home, although I do remember, some influence when I was very young, from my mum's, mum, towards the same religion. I remember going to what I'm sure was Sunday School, but was that for religious purposes or kicking me out the way for the day is anyones guess.

I would say, I'm not a religious person, I see myself as no faith, but your comment above, could quite, with great validation argue, what I say is untrue, I am CofE. However, in adult life I have taken more interest in other religions, other than CofE, but I sill wouldn't class myself as educated in any faith including my own. That leaves me susceptible to change (in faith) or does it, I'd say you are closer to the truth than me.

I have to agree with you my friend ... my maternal grandmother had 7 kids from which I am one of fourteen cousins... we were all brought up Catholics and went to church on Sundays until we became teenagers ... at which point we all followed our own 'truths' ... I like to think those formative years enlightened us to empathy, compassion and social awareness ... I certainly believe they did markedly more good than harm <cheers>

I'd agree with that. It's interesting to watch. Maybe that's why we like films with courtroom drama in, and although we wouldn't necessarily like to sit in one for real, the stage is important and 30 mins of targeted dissection on PMQ's is that stage.

Btw there was a blatant tell from Boris that he's paid attention to some of the media and public commentary on what happened last week because he referred to Starmer's "forensic" approach to questioning. That use of the word by him was quite a give away.
