But it'll go from 6, to 60 in not a lot of time. Just watch - the PL will carry on blindly regardless.
They have, and always have had, two options. Cancel the season (void it, no Champions, promotion, or relegation) or end the season (standard or limited promotion/relegation). This pissing about in the middle ground trying to please broadcasters because of money is infuriating nonsense.
So 167m for the shares in the club. And 150m to settle the loan sitting on the balance sheet. This makes the club value £167m so when people are saying it’s been sold for 300m that’s bull. It’s been sold for £167m and there just so happens to be a debt on the balance sheet that you have to pay aswell.
Can we not start a petition off? Seriously though, the PL claim they are doing this for the public to "give us something". We don't ****ing want it....players don't want it....NOBODY ****ING WANTS IT !! Football is so unimportant in the grand scheme of things, surely a petition can be started and sent to Downing St and the Premier League to tell them to just do the sensible thing and declare it null and void...no champions, no relegations....let's get **** sorted and go again in Aug/Sept.
As I say, it's purely about money owed back to broadcasters. There will be behind-the-scenes legal arguments between the PL, its' clubs, the EFL and BT/Sky. It will be all about who is liable. It's utter ****ing bullshit. Fact is either end or cancel the season. No monies owed back for "force majeur". Move on and try your ****ing damnedest to be ready for September. Allow clubs to sort contracts, transfers, etc. in an extended window. The whole thing just sickens me.
That appears to be the case. The debt is the portion that Staveley has taken a loan out against. That says to me the balance has already been paid and is held on trust pending PL approval.
I think the players will start refusing to play.. just cancel the season.. it is what it is... nobodies fault
This all day. The season is not going to restart. First players will refuse to come in. Cases will grow. It'll be halted again. Noticed Bruce lauding the "meticulous" PL plan. Which is basically a step by step guide to training in isolation. Thing with Brucey is, like his tactics, he's not really one for detail so anything more than scribblings on a *** packet will leave him blown away. EDIT: God, I ****ing hate Steve Bruce.
You can bet your life as soon as one does a lot more will follow. Football without fans in the ground is ****. Hell I've played at SJP and there were only a few friends and family in the stands of the lads that were playing and it was **** but none of us cared cos we were playing at SJP. I wouldn't want to be a player playing a competitive PL game with no fans...its part of the reason they come to the club. Sack it off and move on!
They need to work on how to allow SOME fans into stadiums from September ,either by having a decent testing system, or social distancing inside the stadium itself. But this nonsense they're trying to fudge is beyond belief. I'd sort of understand if we were the only nation not playing on - but EFL2, SPL, Ligue 1, Eredivisie, Belgian leagues have all ended. It's a pathetic game of greed and typical British "pride" vs Germany.
The lawyers will be working round thd clock whilst juggling home commitments as well. Mental for them at the moment.
I have that feeling aswell. There is also a significant lackage of new news about it all. Literally all news articles are just reworded past articles or stab in the dark quotes from ex players and the like.
Just can’t believe there’s only 9. For some silly little reason I still believe it’ll happen, not sure why. Just something telling me it will, I just can’t see all this being for nothing, from both the buyers and sellers side. Here’s hoping!
