perfect... they will soon realise. the rangers lot did well to see it and fend him off, but the English lot seem to think it's all just us complaining about nothing
It's like a mortgage. It's sort of Ashley lending money to Staveley to buy the club, which sounds weird, but it makes the transaction easier. It then just means Staveley owes Mike the money, legally, to allow her the time to gather the funding from PIF and Reubens. It's very much a legally binding agreement, signed by Ashley and Staveley, and underlines the fact that the club is sold pending PL announcement. What I believe this document signifies is there's no further delay for transfer of funds (which has done the rounds on Twitter) as this 'charge' basically gives Amanda Staveley the club and a bill fro £300m to settle. Only she and Ashley will know the terms of settling that debt, but in terms of transferring the club it would happen more or less instantly.
The vendor purchase loan is for 150 million. As you say it facilitates sale of the club and is common in commercial transactions to speed up the sale. Basically, Staveley has taken on a 150 million debt which is evidence enough of a sale. The loan will be transferred on completion. The remainder will be paid off either in full or instalments once Ashley has sold.
Anyone seen those quotes from Danny Rose? Basically said he was working 6 days a week at Spurs, reaching CL finals, then got to Newcastle where you get 2 days off, plus another one if you win, and he's thinking "what's going on here?". ****ing class. I genuinely don't know what will happen if we leave things to Bruce/chance in empty stadiums.
