Some players are not to keen on the idea, Troy Deeney and Mark Noble for two.

We have a very different looking squad now. De Wijs, Burke, Lichaj, Kane, Bowler, Samuelsen, Eaves and Magennis all presumably now fit. We will do OK I think.

I don't suppose we have enough players left to start a match after all the loan players and out of contracts have ****ed off - if the pair of ****s want the season voided they can repay the full years membership too

Do we have a definitive list of players who contracts and loan contracts would end on the 30/6/2020?

The John Percy tweet about that article already has 200 comments about us being relegation fodder/**** club etc and it's only been up forty minutes.

Every other team will also be as fit as they can be, so I don't think that's an advantage. Plus, with our luck, 9 matches in 4 weeks, how long will that fitness last? I'm still concerned that all the weaknesses are still there from before Covid - lack of a clear leader on the pitch, lack of team cohesiveness, lack of fight, lack of a Plan B from Grant.

I hope I'm wrong, I really do, I hope Grant has spent the past two months doing some hard thinking. But I still don't feel very optimistic.

it feels like every year we have to do a massive re building exercise & start again with a new team. Zero continuity!!!

Anyone know who’s our longest serving current player is??

I doubt they would accept 2 month extensions to there contracts, so looks like we would be down to the bare bones of our arses.

Assuming the season does resume, players are being allowed to extend by a month or so, to be able to complete the season.

Based on OLM's list, I think we have the following players left.
    Goalkeepers

    Matt Ingram
    George Long

    Defenders
    Reece Burke
    Jordy de Wijs
    Callum Elder
    Sean McLoughlin
    Ryan Tafazolli

    Midfield
    Elliot Bonds
    George Honeyman
    Lonardo Lopes

    Forwards

    James Berry
    Tom Eaves
    Keane Lewis Potter
    Josh Magennis
    Martin Samuelson
    James Scott

    Total 16 players

Plus assorted u23 players - revised list - Norbert Balogh removed per OLM info.

I really wouldn't read too much into that list, the loan players will definitely stay and presumably most of the out of contract ones as well.

That would depend on what their agents advise them.

    From FIFA...

“With the current suspension of play in most countries, it is now obvious that the current season will not end when people thought it would,” a statement read.

“Therefore, it is proposed that contracts be extended until such time that the season does actually end.

“This should be in line with the original intention of the parties when the contract was signed and should also preserve sporting integrity and stability."
