Personally, despite players getting back to training today I don't think any games will actually be played. We're looking at potentially the end of June if you listen to Bruce/Sterling....more players will pipe up over the coming days saying the same. Restrictions have only been lifted a week so it's least another week before we see the effects of people moving around more freely.....this includes players and their families. I have a funny feeling this is all going to be called off before it even gets going. The PL are ****ing sackless and an absolute abomination in all this. They haven't got the balls to bring the curtain down on the season and call it null and void for fear of the backlash from Liverpool not to mention the loss in revenue from TV money from Sky if no more games are to be shown. Restarting the season behind closed doors is the absolute best case scenario for them and benefits only them, **** players safety and their immediate families. It'll only take one player or one match to be affected by this and the whole thing will fall like dominoes around them. What is absolutely clear is that there cannot be any further delays to completing this season if that is the will and desire of the powers that be. Playing beyond August gives virtually no break between the new season (which in reality should start earlier than a normal season due to the Euro's), the new season start date cannot be pushed back as that will affect the euro's. Not that they had much credibility to start with but they could have gotten well ahead of this at a very early stage and called it all off so everyone can focus on next season. This will have allowed everyone connected with clubs to start planning for next season, loan players contracts to be terminated, transfer window open to allow cash to start to flow around clubs. More importantly our ****ing takeover could have been announced by now as well rather than them all sitting with their thumbs up their arses procrastinating about ways to keep them slags at ****ing Sky happy. ****s.
We've been telling you for at least that long that I T S D O N E Hopefully it can be announced soon now.
Yep, this was all obvious weeks ago. It's all a facade. They'll go back to training and there will be consistent positive tests. The thing is, if they'd just stopped the season either voiding or ending we could have all been looking to a really positive goal of September to get everything in order. But, no, these spineless ****ing ****ers, driven by greed and money, are dragging the inevitable on and on, which in turn leaves us consistently LESS time to be ready for next season. Much like the Gov's response, it's a clusterfuck of spineless non-decision making, ponderous, clueless, political nonsense.
Anywho, back on topic - Olivier Bernard said he has been told today is the day. The Italian press are definitive in repeating Newcastle are the most likely to sign Koulibaly ahead of Juventus. I honestly cannot believe I wrote that last sentence, and that it was serious.
