    Maybe.

Although some of the replies that his joke meme has generated on his own Twitter feed are far more erudite than mine in pointing out his jokey ignorance.

I called him out for being a dimwit, which I believe him to be, in preference to calling him something more unflattering.

Fee-paying schools are still teaching the kids of key workers, the same as state schools, there are also still a lot of boarders that stayed in the UK and are still being looked after as normal. I've no idea when they're reopening fully, my kids old school just has a vague message on the website saying they 'plan to open as soon as possible'.

This has got me thinking, as such things often do.

My old Philosophy department is always on the lookout for suitable dissertation topics for the inept and dull-witted students they get saddled with, who are often beyond thinking of any original thoughts themselves.

I'm sending them this in my next email.

Great tweets have little tweets upon their backs to bite 'em, and little tweets have lesser tweets, and so ad infinitum. Is the moral compass of virtual communication currently pointing to truth or skewed to an offset ethical agenda?

Go on, knock 10,000 words out on that.

I tried to coax the solitary cog up to working speed to come up with a reply that would find approval in a philosophy department, but will settle for yours. As was posted above " far more erudite than mine".

I can cope with the philosophy of something (e.g. science, which I have actually taught at Uni) but straight philosophy is something that has always eluded me. Have tried to read some, but 3 or 4 pages, in I always remember my father saying "whats that got to do with the price of fish?". In truth, I find it a cure for insomnia.

He's a tax exile living in Belize spouting off about a country he doesn't pay tax into and both slagging the British public off for being weak willed and also managing to sound a teeny bit of a bigot at the same time

He deserves every challenge he gets, including on here.

Only he didn't write it, it's from a veterans support and fundraising page on Facebook.

Lord Ashcroft, it was his tweet that I shared on here, though I didn't even realise it was his tweet, I just thought it was funny (It went down much better on Facebook, when I only posted the meme).
