Yep. Or 6 only saving grace is my stomach is playing up the last couple of days. Don’t think I’ve been eating enough fibre.
Was more in control of it yesterday. Friday though, I got home from work, cracked open a Hoegaarden and the next thing you know I'd had various craft beers before moving onto a red wine. Felt grim yesterday morning!
I console myself with the fact that whilst I will be working tomorrow, my 'journey to work' now involves a stretch of the arm to get the laptop ... so plenty of scope for sleeping it off
Got some single cream that needs using today; so diner will be seared chicken fillets in a white wine, cream, field mushroom and tarragon sauce on a bed of pasta, with a side of tender stem broccoli and toasted pine nuts ...
Last night had two large G&T and then 3/4 bottle of red. Fine today. I think it was the Hoegaarden made me feel like ****!
I’ve done two hours uncovered. Then an hour or so covered and have removed it now and basted with more of the bbq bourbon stuff. Smells lovely.
Experimenting.. some American recipes cook in a crock pot in the oven. It’s a 6 hour cook. Hour or so covered isn’t going to make much diff in the scheme of things.
Bbq night. just doing two different types of chicken. One had jerk seasoning and the left over bourbon glaze, the other a similar rub to what I use on pulled pork with shop bought buffalo sauce. My butcher has reopened so finally get to try my favourite sausage on the bbq as well.
