ah no I watched it all the way through at the time I meant I haven't watched the recording of it since
It didn't happen. It's a hoax. The recordings are doctored versions of other mashups of our recent games against the Gooners, projected onto a greenscreen representation of Wembley Stadium. Collective hypnotic hysteria accounts for the so called 'recollections' of the fans who were there. Check the record books, we lost the semi-final on penalties after a five all draw. That's how I cope with the misery of having my hopes and dreams brutally destroyed anyway.
One of the best and worst days ever of been a City fan. So many emotions, have still never watched a replay or the highlights, it hurts too much.
That really pisses me off. Yes it's good practice to have a man stood on the goal line at the far post, but how many times have we seen players not do that? Mind you, if Juniors goal had gone in, Charon may well have jumped into 'Big Muddy'...
The bias, the hidden agenda & general ****ishness of the national media that day ('Arsenal's 9 year trophy drought is over'etc) was a major landmark for me in my football life journey. Was slowly getting used to ****ishness of the PL and could see other clubs got the treatment we did. New kid on the block gets fake sincere welcome, then annoys a few more established clubs before being consigned to 'small provincial club' status on MOTD. Just ask Hudders and now Sheffield United. But the Cup Final was a whole new level It was 'Arsenal v someone else who no one is interested in'
Birmingham City got the same treatment when they beat Arsenal in the League Cup final in 2011. It was all about Arsenal's 'drought' continuing, and not about a great underdog trophy win.
