Yes. Just waiting for the PL to grow a pair. TBH I have never been his greatest fan. Good striker but not great. Shouldn’t be playing for England but there is a dearth of top level English strikers and so he gets in as being one of the best of the rest. End of the day he’s doing something for lower league football which he’s able to do because of how well paid he is. But, at least, he’s doing it. Many others aren’t. Sets an example. Hope it catches on a bit like Quinn’s Sunderland testimonial match donation.
Not greedy. Would you turn down the salary if you were offered it? People complain about professional footballers not giving something back and then when one does you say he’s greedy in the first place. He’s damned if he does and he’s damned if he doesn’t.
