The exact same conditions would have been met for Boris. Easily young and healthy enough to warrant intensive care - proved by him recovering. And him being there didn’t deny anyone else care as we had enough capacity to deal with people in intensive care, so a pretty ****ing stupid point really.

And it might seem an impersonal way of making decisions but how the **** did you think the NHS was run? They just pay for every treatment available for everyone? Any idea the cost of that? Wake up man, for god sake.

Don't listen to @Spurlock mate. What about cold meats, smoked fish etc. They are cooked first and then eaten cold.

... well excuse me... but having never had a day off sick since starting working in 1984 and likely having paid much more tax into the system than a Tory politician with offshore bank accounts and trust funds, I think I should be entitled to some ****ing payback if I contract this ****ing virus ... but using your "justifcation" I would likely be seen as acceptable collateral loss ... so please forgive me for thinking that a Government that would make such decisions on that basis are a right bunch of ****s ... ****s that no doubt have private family medical insurance

Firstly the chances are you’ve paid far less tax than anyone rich enough to have offshore accounts and trust funds as despite the tax avoidance that goes on the top earners pay the largest chunk of income tax revenue despite whatever immoral decisions they make about contributions.

And secondly it’s not my justification, it’s the economic reality of the health system we have in this country and would still be the reality with a different government. It’s the mechanism by which the NHS (a separate body to the government) make decisions about treatment. You’re far too old to be as naive as you come across.
