Either way it's about football in the future. Clubs can't just wait out this season and then next season will just start as normal if they do nothing. Football can only return with a plan to restart, and they can vote of the details of that plan. Don't know why you're obsessed with the fact that they didn't agree in advance since you can never agree on something unexpected in advance.
You could be right. Hadn't heard about the Dutch decision. Am I reading it right that a team took legal action against the KNVB (Dutch FA) and the FA won?
Delight? I thought he was on all day about some of our clubs taking legal action and absolutely confident the club would win. Isn't that the opposite of what he predicted
They were trying to sue for the FA voiding the season, and thus denying them a promotion that wasn’t yet secured........so the complete converse of what we were discussing.
I never gloated or was even vaguely sarcastic......I did enjoy posting it though You went straight to bed and didn’t reply mate
Who said I was delighted with it? Oh yeah Donga What he didn’t bother sharing, was the fact we’d discussed the Dutch situation and I’d said that imo a legal challenge would fail. Donga disagreed and cited a professor who had the converse view. Context you see....all you had to do was ask........
No, no, no Tobes... seriously, I was in work and finished at 11pm. Absolutely no word of a lie, got home, logged on and - the dog took a fit. He's got a heart-murmur, not long for this world, I'm afraid. But he sort of came round a bit just as I was gonna call the emergency vet, which was handy - as my daughter informs me it's £500 just to come out atm. In work now, dreading go home at 11pm, but he seemed okay-ish if a bit listless when I took him out this morning. Could be the weather though - he really struggles in the heat. I WAS going to respond that it proves the relevant FA's have the power to do what they see fit though, and another difference (which tbf you did say a couple of weeks ago, as did Ruud Guillet on 5Live) is that the government there, as in France, actually stopped all sport, so in fairness they had carte blanche to do what they the (FA) sought fit. Was ****ing quick though - I did expect it to go to CAS, but maybe this is the benchmark in disputes now.
I was only joking mate. Sorry to hear about your dog , hope he perks up It showed the Dutch FA had the right to call it as done, without rewarding or punishing sides for an incomplete season mate.
I suppose we'll see if we or the Germans have to cancel our leagues (or anybody else) and there are relegations. There will inevitably be legal repercussions one way or another - let's hope it doesn't happen. * Dog is called Astro, btw.
Every European league will choose it's own way - as they are doing. Belgium today crowned champions and has relegations.
Only you didn’t pose a question, hence the reason you didn’t use a question mark, and you followed it with OK then....... as you posted it as if it was somehow a fact. So, no.
I think so. As I said every league will be different. If I remember correctly the Dutch government have banned all sport until a vaccine is found.
