The Saudi Royal Family may have encouraged piracy, but they are so big that it is impossible to link it to one individual. PIF is huge. Their Governor and Al Ramayyan have nothing to do with piracy. You cannot fail PIF even if there is a tenuous link, because the nominated directors are clean. Covid19 is the real issue.
Could be; the PL may have even said as much, that all is fine but they can't ratify the deal until a certain date or decision has been made. It's entirely possible that the existing owners have to agree to a plan for this season before the takeover can be finalised.
You can bet that if the PL announced that the season is over, there would an announcement within hours or days of a takeover. The interesting one for me is Khassogis fiancée. Writing to the fans says to me that the PL has told her it has been approved and so she goes to the fans in a desperate last minute attempt. Supported by Qatar of course.
We couldn't get rid of the fat controller for 13 years, what she's expecting is beyond me. There will be some who won't follow the club because of their views on the new regime. However, those of us with memories better than a goldfish and IQ above 23 also realise that Germany have made a few mistakes in the past, Imperial Britain also has a few skeletons and more recently both Qatar and UAE appear to have been forgiven for their own atrocities In Qatar, being gay is punishable by death. Today. But that's ok, I guess? There'll be conversations going on about how to manage the vote process on this season - should new owners have a say? Probably not, so they may be held off until some kind of decision is reached. Even if that decision changes, I don't think we'll see a change of ownership until some level of clarity is decided.
Surely a new reporting low https://www.independent.co.uk/indep...-khashoggi-murder-sportswashing-a9513771.html In return for Newcastle United, perhaps the Saudis can tell us where Khashoggi's dismembered body lies
Perhaps they can ask his pals in ISIS where the bodies of Alan Henning et al are buried following their very public murders?
Goes back to what you said above. Every country has their atrocities. For some reason we should be morally obliged to oppose the Saudi's.
It gets even stupider than that, though. They can go on an acquisition rampage for the likes of P&O, Uber, Warner Music, and so on, without a SINGLE comment.
Exactly. Where the **** is this woman's outrage in relation to those companies? Nowhere. Why? Because this crusade against us is Qatari. She is the public face of it. BEin Sports are behind it.
I refuse to criticise the woman . I mean I'm not going to lie and say I care strongly enough to not want the takeover, but I really think people need to think how they would feel about Salman if he ordered the murder of their partner. I've read some comments on Twitter that defy belief. I fully support this woman in whatever action she feels she wants to take regardless of my own personal preference or opinion on this takeover.
Maybe the Saudis classed him as a terrorist it's not just up to the Americans who and when they can take people out and consider it legal
