i thought bothroyd was decent yesterday, he needs help though, campbell is ok but hes had one good season at blackpool, hes been a championship bench warmer for a while so dont expect too much. i think come jan there will be a couple more additions. my big critisism yesterday was playing swp on the left when villas left back was on a booking for 80mins, oh and having faurlin on free kicks ffs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Agree with the sentiment Sam, if not the complete argument. Warnock is our best manager be a country mile. Which of us would have brought Helguson on? Bothroyd best striker? He could be, but boy does he need a goal. Barton best captain? Iâm probably not the one to argue this, but Iâd take Rowlands. A draw with unbeaten Villa is not a bad result, particularly when you consider how they got their goal. Our neversaydie attitude is something that anyone who has watched us over the last 15 years will cherish.
Hi Northolt, Nobody has been bullying me, at least that I am aware of But some of the unrealistic posts that have been on here lately have not really fed my enthusiasm to reply also some of expectations seem a bit silly and OTT. It looks like plenty are expecting TF to dig deep into his pockets in January and start throwing money at new signings, I wonder what the reaction will be if he decides that he has spent enough? Personally I can see us getting that Mayasian striker and a defender to add to the squad.
I have been abused on this forum and touched on the front bottom but i am not saying by whom ... just to say he was very angry and from Ireland
Isn't this a fans forum, where we're entitled to go to give our honest opinions and evaluations of the game? True, Barton is clearly one of the best players we've had in a long while. But does this mean he's not open to criticism, or do we have to allow a period of grace; if so, how long? 5 games, 10, 15? By stating this player, manager, etc is the best we've had can't be allowed to stifle debate. Surely this forum would be a pretty dull place if all we did was carry on in an unadulterated state of bliss at our new-look team and our current good league position. It's not anti-Barton, or any other player or the team as a whole, the comments are made post-game as genuine opinion and observations on the game. Everyone's happy overall, but this shouldn't prevent us scrutinizing the teams or individual's performances
Agree with twins on this. It's like under nines football where 20 kids are all chasing the football on here sometimes. One good win and we're in Europe, one draw and our player's hearts aren't in it and the manager Is a useless hunt.
I think a lot of peoples post on here to create a reaction and gain a sense of kudos from getting lots of responses. And good luck to them. Wow, look at me I posted a thread, and it has 1,327 views and 155 responses. Where as others post brilliant articles, podcasts, and other informative propaganda, yet get very little credit. I'm not being critical, it all just makes me want to keep tuning-in and add the odd bit here and there. Well done to you all, it keeps me entertained. But the bottom line is..... We've never had it so good.
Just how have we had the new signings? For fooks sake, give the team a chance to gel and to get to know each other. I for one did not expect them to perform as they did against Newcastle and Wolves, however it did give me hope. the game against a strong Villa side that has had a recognised back 4 playing together for a while, plus one of the premier league greatest keepers showed that we still have a way to go. Yep, there was a few dubious refering decisions, but 3 games with new players - 5 points on the board - and the fact we will improve shows me that we are going places.
Who cares about all this. Bring on Fulham on Sunday, sitting in the 'Seatwave' section but will be shouting so loud my eyeballs explode. Can't wait UUUUUU RRRRRRRRRRR'SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! F*CK YEAH!!!!!!
Morning all, well the dust has settled after sunday, we did pretty well against a strong villa side who came for a point and almost got away with a classic smash & grab, mind why they stopped attacking after 20 mins in 2nd half god only knows because they looked decent going forward. Yes there were some contentious decisions by the ref but i actually think he got 2 of them right, so as Mr Meatloaf would say "2 out of 3 aint bad". Anyway onwards and upwards, Northy time for the Fulham thread!!! Up the R's
Agree with a lot of the comments, but F U 2 to Hairy Saddlebags.............Warnock is probably one of the best managers we've ever had (and I have been a Rangers fan long before Warnock had ever heard of them) but on the personal side, I find him to be an attention-seeking loudmouth. Just an opinion. The foul committed by Traore was awful, but he's not the first one to make a bad one, and to drag him aside for a public dressing-down was not on. The Asians have a good rule of thumb, i.e. never show-up someone up in public, usually a stupid thing to do. As for bellowing to the press "I'll fine him as much as I can", was surely plain madness. As for Rangers best captain, Tony Ingham for sure IMHO................They're not doing badly, but every damn game is really tough! Come on you Rsssssssssssssssssssss!
