Makes you wonder how Much longer they’ll continue to Kick the ball down the road without actually deciding anything. What an inept Lot
I said ‘hopefully’ crowds will be able to return in November, there’s a better chance of that than September or October.
Sky hold the big money the premiership relies on, they could say ‘ if you defer a percentage that helps save the rest of the league we will guarantee to pay even more when we next negotiate a new deal’. A good proportion were league sides not so long ago, even Man City and Chelsea.
As and when infection numbers decline, testing is expanded, medications are improved, vaccines are rolled out - any combinations of these will result in a return to society as it was in those golden days of the early 21st century. Ah the nostalgia....
And you think sky will want to guarantee paying extra money, sorry m8 but you are living in a sweet nice world, not the real one though I'm afraid.
Chesh you couldn’t buy better advertising than ‘Sky in conjunction with the Premiership saving football from the grass roots to the second tier’. Many people refuse to subscribe to Sky because they hate the greed of it all, they would probably change their tune if the football world stuck together. I’ve seen on these pages that Norwich get £100m and Leeds get £3m of TV money even though Leeds have been on more than Norwich, a bit of tweaking and there is money to save all clubs.
Yes and that's been going on a long time, and the greedy premier league will see to it, that it goes on a lot longer. You've seen the self serving prem clubs asking for no relegation guarantees already. Money is their only concern, not sharing it.
Morning all. As were about to join the PL, Ive no problem with the money involved and hope SKY pump more in next season. Also agree championship should get f all
Completely agree but I'd go further. Every club (including ours) is driven by vested interest. Project restart is only about not paying sky back their money.
It would be just our luck to be promoted to the Premiership that then has to pay back billions of pounds to SKY TV!!!
