    So @humanbeingincroydon

Do you believe the football resuming will cause more deaths? Or just the thought of it restarting has already killed thousands?
Or just don't think it's appropriate considering the deaths?

Just tryna find out why your so pissed off about the prem resuming is all?

A fair few people are back at work now, they won't be tested daily like the players and coaching staff will be. Are you angry at them too?

Or is it just football that's gonna spread the virus?

People who are back at work should only be working where social distancing is possible. On a football pitch that is impossible, there is also the requirement for emergency services and medical staff that are currently employed dealing with victims of the virus being needed at football grounds when the real requirement for their skills will still be elsewhere - this is not a pop at Liverpool but at football - I have not said this for a while but for once I totally agree with Danny Rose.

Some of the replies to that tweet are predictably depressing reading

Replies that, as a cursory check reveals, mostly come from Chelsea, Arsenal, and Saltypool fans...

It says it all that the replies fall into a few easy to define categories

"Hurr, he plAyed feR toTeNnum, hEe baD mAn"
"You're just saying that so you don't get relegated"
"Well why not give up your salary?"
"I have voted BNP at some point in my life"

Suffice to say there's a venn diagram for the first and fourth option...

FA chairman Greg Clarke just stated to clubs that not voiding the season, and ensuring relegation and promotion happened, would be his preferred settlement, but he has no jurisdiction, other than ratifying any decision PL would come up with, so those comments seem to have been twisted somewhat.
How desperate is this, nobody should want their name associated with this football season, first of all due to the nightmare of Covid-19 and secondly the clear bias and corruption of VAR influencing results. Whatever happens with the remainder of this season, the shine has been taken off what was meant to be Liverpool`s big moment, the season can not now be right and proper, in no way fair and is more or less free of any meaning or merit. I do fully expect them to award their darlings the league title though, one way or another, but there will be very little kudos in anything achieved from this season.

As I said a few pages back (or in another topic, whatever) The FA's approach to this season is a lot like Fox's to The Simpsons: it's painfully obvious that it needs to be put out of its misery and should have been some time ago, but nobody is willing to pull the trigger as they're afraid of having their name go down in infamy - even though the fact is that their name won't, after all nobody is burning effigies of the bloke who scrubbed the Eredivisie season, although in France there is an issue as Amiens are taking legal action as the season was scrubbed yet they and Toulouse were relegated anyway

The fact that The FA are considering different rules for the remaining games, be it 45 minute matches or allowing five subs instead of three, already makes a farce of any attempts to claim that it's for the purity of the competition. More than anything else, anyone saying the season should continue just so they get a trophy simply needs to watch the footage of Mike Hawthorn grinning and swigging from a bottle of champagne after winning the 1955 Le Mans while the bodies of 84 dead spectators were being carried out of the circuit, because that's what your trophy ceremony will look like

And in today's idiot suggestion to keep the bodies piling up in the streets season going, as reported in the Torygraph...

One example that can be cited, and which is expected to be raised, is the contact between players in a tackle with players told there are small changes they can make which will help such as turning their face away when getting up from the challenge and, generally, avoiding face to face contact wherever possible.

Because of course, when somebody gets clattered from behind, they're definitely not going to turn around to have a few words with the player who did it

End this farce, and if a few Liverpool fans get upset, boo-****ing-hoo, we all know next year will be their year anyway

Just void the season and move on, give Liverpool some kind of certificate or plaque to commemorate their season, put it on display at Stockley Park.
