If piracy was an issue the PL would have immediately failed the prospective new owners due to the wealth of information in the public domain and evidence from the French case. They haven't. Its a done deal.

It's not. It's a tenuous link between Arabsat and members of the Saudi royal family. There are no links to Mogren or Al Ramyyat or PIF. The Qatari's and Emirati's are shareholders in the same offending satellite. It was the Saudi's who proactively closed down the satellite in August 2019.

The PIF is a massive investment organisation, investing billions in huge organisations across many industries mainly in the Western world. It has an army of lawyers, more money than God and will have everything thought out and planned to buy this club. If there were ever a slight doubt about the PL owners test, they would never have got involved in the first place. Amanda Staveley, Reuben Bros and PIF are unblemished people with no proven links to any crime whatsoever. The utter bollocks from Bein is typical Middle Eastern one-upmanship. Qatari's are miffed at the thought of Saudi AND UAE having bigger, better football presence than they do and will try any rubbish to stop it. Not only is there no legal reason to stop it, there's no moral one either - no more than Bein's Arabsat links, Qatars human rights record, and so on. The PL test will not fail at all. The deal is done bar a PL test and transfer of monies - I'd imagine the latter is not going to take more than seconds as the transaction will already be done in a holding account.
