So back on topic, Luke Edwards has posted today reiterating that the buyers remain confident of a deal this week. Though he also suggests they were confident it would go through last week. Seems to be a lot of inside knowledge that the buyers are now planning to take over and move swiftly to start plans moving.

 

Yeah it is a shame that all those people died in a fire!

 

I'm looking forward to reading/hearing the plans they have. It will all already be in place just waiting for the go-ahead. I'm amazed some people don't realise that every aspect will already have been researched and detailed plans put in place regards facilities, the stadium, staff, players and every molecule from top to bottom.

 

The rumours are that they've invited a shortlist of DoF candidates to come up with a 5 year plan for success, all the way down to which coach to hire, what to do with the training ground, how to set up the scouting system, etc. They'll then put a DoF in place ASAP but presumably have already sounded out that individuals preferred coach, who will likely join soon after.

Likely means Rafa's out, unless he'd fancy the DoF role?
