Every time I go out for essentials there are more and more cars on the road and more and more people wandering around.

Everyone is fed up and bored with the whole situation but breaking the lockdown or socialising for no reason should incur a heavy penalty if you're caught.

Well, catching them shouldn’t be too difficult. They’re not exactly doing this surreptitiously are they?

Quite. And it's been reported that the Police aren't exactly busy at the moment, with conventional crime down by a huge amount and the pubs still being shut !

But I expect they'll be solving other crimes on our behalf, right ?!

Need to be a bit careful! wildlife has seen very little of people and may seem friendly moreso than usual! maybe a paws for thought??
3 things I have noticed with wildlife FOXES in built up areas are a lot more our estate not uncommon to drive around it about 1030pm and see more than half a dozen … with the lack of discarded takeaway food they are being left a bit short of easy snacks and most will have cubs …. also we are inundated with wood pigeons [ been so for last 5 years ] but there is now a growing number of feral pigeons... no one or very few feeding them in the towns so having to look elsewhere for food .. also noticed around here a lesser amount of gulls again feed on takeaway scraps.
[ maybe bear could be empty ...lol ..]
Noticed higher traffic noise and Sat went shopping and it did look busy ….Stapleton road … well they wonder why ethnic groups suffer more!

An Irish daughter had not been home for over 5 years.
Upon her return, her father cursed her heavily.
Where have ye been all this time, child?
Why did ye not write to us, not even a line?
    Why didn't ye call?
Can ye not understand what ye put yer old Mother thru?'
The girl, crying, replied, 'Sniff, sniff... Dad.... I became a prostitute.'
    'Ye what!!?
Get outta here, ye shameless harlot! Sinner!
You're a disgrace to this Catholic family.
    'OK, Dad... As ye wish.
I just came back to give Mum this luxurious fur coat, title deed to a ten bedroom mansion plus a $5 million savings certificate.
For me little brother, this gold Rolex.
And for ye, Daddy, the sparkling new Mercedes Limited Edition convertible that's parked outside, plus a membership to the country club... (takes a breath)... And an invitation for ye all to spend New Year's Eve
On board my new yacht in the Riviera.'
'Now what was it ye said ye had become?' says Dad.
Girl, crying again, 'Sniff, sniff... a prostitute, Daddy! Sniff, sniff.'
'Oh! Be Jesus! Ye scared me half to death, girl!
I thought ye said a Protestant.
Come here and give yer old Dad a hug!!!'

Office for National Statistics analysis shows there were 55 deaths for every 100,000 people in the poorest parts of England, compared with 25 in the wealthiest areas.
Mortality rates are normally higher in poorer areas.
But the ONS said coronavirus appeared to be adding to the problem.
Shadow health secretary Jonathan Ashworth said the report showed the virus thrived on inequality.
"Ministers must target health inequalities with an overarching strategy to tackle the wider social determinants of ill-health," he said.

Across the country, the highest rates of deaths have been in urban areas where lots of people live. The overall mortality rate in London has been almost double that of the next highest region.
The data also shows the Covid-19 mortality rate in the most deprived areas of England has been higher among men, with 76.7 deaths per 100,000 people, compared with 39.6 per 100,000 women.
"General mortality rates are normally higher in more deprived areas, but so far Covid-19 appears to be taking them higher still," said Nick Stripe, ONS head of health analysis

I think one answer might be linked to ROD's observations... the people in Stapleton road area acting as if "not a lot is the matter" ..!!!! with an apparent lack of SD.. MOST likely interspersed with some of things that go on in those areas due to cultural habits etc certainly will not help. It is also [ alledgedly ] an area where a few "illegal immigrants" are known/assumed to reside. These peeps unfortunately live in cramped conditions and we know that is one of the worst scenario's ….

FROM the BBC.... who else .....
The UK provided more than 122,000 coronavirus tests on the last day of April, passing the government's target, Health Secretary Matt Hancock said.
Mr Hancock said the target of 100,000 tests per day was an "audacious goal", but testing was necessary "for getting Britain back on her feet".
The figure includes home test kits counted when they were dispatched, which may not yet have been taken.
    Mr Hancock set the goal
on 2 April, when the UK was on 10,000 tests a day.
Some 27,510 people have now died in UK hospitals, care homes and the wider community after testing positive for coronavirus
    .
Again today the 2 public Q's at 1700hours showed up all but 1 of the ! media!
The above was written by the BBC an hour or so after the 1700hrs presentation. why do they have to pick holes in something that has had other media saying /realising the 100,000 is a personal target of the minister and nothing that has been set in stone … Pymm DOESNT SEEM TO GET IT, although explained to him [ references made along the same lines by others / media ] its the fairest way is publish the figures of all who "are supplied with the test" on the day. It is the obvious way and simplest way.... it is inconceivable that all the sent out kits will not be returned!! and the hospital quota is replacing kits that have been used? ….
The total testing figure includes 27,497 kits which were delivered to people's homes and also 12,872 tests that were sent out to centres such as hospitals and NHS sites.
However, these may not have been actually used or sent back to a lab

I think I might start using another media rather than BBC

I see the .gov is attempting to do a comparison table similar to the one I did a week or so ago, on why we are not actually [ YET ] the highest [ deaths ] sufferers in Europe, based on a level playing field scenario. Their figures will be more accurate than those i published as they have more accurate knowledge to go on. It will now be interesting to see how well we are doing. CERTAINLY EVERYTHING POINTS TO THE FACT very strongly that the .gov has done everything [ based on knowledge it was given ] to have got us through this so far.
One of the MAIN THINGS THEY STATED and /or did the health/ science that very difficult decisions may have to made if we get it wrong .. OAPS WOULD BE DENIED the right to ventilators, or people with serious underlying health issues. [ bit like a sinking ship !! women and children first! ]
when we were warned that it could get nasty 95% of the population did as they were asked STAYED IN DOORS ….. and it is working, although on my walks I see groups of non speaking English people congregating around the odd table / bench on my walk route!!!! [ Eastern European! ] Also notice less cars on drives! around 6-7pm time … so far seen 31 buses [ obviously more route 2 ] and just 1 passenger!!! Yesterday saw 2 buses 2 minute apart both empty! they run on gas, so keep on poooing!!!!
The 7 day rolling curve is quite interesting, a more accurate way to indicate success or failure …. although the chart is a visual aid it shows basically the average daily rate ….
being x number of days behind other countries can be confusing as the "start date cannot be set in stone" …
Brazil … here is a country led by an evil leader / gov… not only did they "promote" forest fires they now seem to be carrying out ethnic cleansing of the indigenous peoples!!! certain area's are not getting any help and in those areas the indigenous people are suffering most. the aim seems to be to free up the areas protected for their existence by wiping them out and then allowing illegally deforestation... which then is "claimed" as pasture land etc...….

A policeman stopped me the other day and said,
"I"d like you to blow into this bag sir."
    I said "What for officer?"
He said "My chips are too hot."

A scouser walked into the local job centre, marched straight up to the Counter and said 'Hi, I'm looking for a job'.
The man behind the counter replied 'Your timing is amazing.
We've just got one in from a very wealthy man who wants a chauffeur/bodyguard for his nymphomaniac twin daughters.
You'll have to drive around in a big black Mercedes and wear the uniform provided. The hours are a bit long but the meals are provided.
You also have to escort the young ladies on their overseas holidays. The Salary package is £200,000 a year'.
The Scouser said 'You're bullshitting me!'
The man behind the counter said 'Well you started it!

a very very interesting daily number 10 broad cast today … a first of 2 preludes to Boris Sunday night … ?????
2 or 3 very good questions regarding the situation at present and the massive problem it will be after we commence lock down.
I have a question... the main threshold line seems to be "the over 70's" , so they at sometime in the near future say "over 70's" have to stay in but everyone else can do this that and the other!!!! SO what if the day is 1st September, a 69 year old has his 70th birthday on the 3rd Sept or alternatively a 69 year old has his birthday on the 27th September ….. are they allowed to mix it for 3 or 27 days and then go back into lockdown?
A similar type of QUESTION WAS ASKED.... "I live in NE, 175 miles from Edinburgh [ would a lot closer to Scottish border and further from London, stated at 375 miles from London ] should I follow Nicola or Boris?
GREAT just gave away my bike which needed a few bits of maintenance now they are giving out vouchers for free repairs ….. however, some of the gobbly goook we discussed Friday was raised by our eldest group member [ first City game aged 5 was in 1938 on 23rd APRIL ..HIS BIRTHDAY, 4 days later he had moved to Bristol as his dad was an aero mechanic, and their new next door neighbour took him to the gate to allow his parents to sort the house out!.. back to G.... G ….. he said / raised the issues, much the same about travel as was said today …. bikes were mentioned, and comments revolved around social distancing and WX … what happens when a load of cyclists arrive at stop lights! and when it rains assumption was less space on PT , likely always full under "new" SD rules [ 23 peeps on a 70 seat bus ] so will they cycle or try for PT or take the car!
this .gov has been very good at easeing into each stage [ OK hic cups because every country in the world after the same thing ] and when you do get a couple plane loads of PPE it is basically out of spec [ turkey stuff ] so today and tomorrows briefing will be designed to give a softening of what Boris is about to give /not give.

I thought BORIS's presentation was a bit of a anti climax, I sort of expected a bit more tub thumping!!! However he doesn't look as fit and well as December / January, I know it takes a lot OUT OF YOU from personal experience [ not me ] so maybe he is still recovering.
Increased fines … well hopefully a minimum of £400 if paid within 7 days! But how will they determine anyone not toeing the line?
"unlimited exercise" this seems to be at odds of / with other 3 nations. … if you live on the border how will that work?
BACK TO WORK ...NO EXCUSES!!! well will that see a mass increase in traffic jams at am and pm rush hours? or failure to social distance on yer bike [ supposed to be worst case scenario as excessive amounts of breath due to exercise can travel up to 7m + or hang around on a dry still day? ]… gone will be the clean air of the past weeks [ we get clean air off the atlantic most of the time! ]
Spend all day in the park …. DANGER …. will this mean our beach's and beauty spots will sink under an invasion of peeps … who would normally stay indoors???
The local icecream man [ 5 vans ] had them all out over the weekend.. for over 14 hours!
Apparently parts of Bristol centre were heaving with peeps not SD ing this weekend!
SO partial lockdown for a week or 2 then wham bam super lock down!!!!!

Made no sense what’s so ever. A load of bollocks.
You can go to the park for the whole day, as long as you’re obeying social distancing. So technically you can get a load of mates all meeting in the park for a fun day out, piss up, picnic and so on.
But fines can be heavier? Good luck with that as everyone can come up with an excuse to be there.
Go to work but work from home if you can, means do a risk assessment, get back to work and get off the furlough scheme.
In Wales, Scotland and Ireland the message is the same as it was this week, except we are allowing garden centres to open up. But at least here we know where we stand.

Was more gobbly goop than someone else

At the start when we were introduced to covid -19 … one of the comments was 2 we need to protect the NHS and to do so we need to …. blah blah blah and also NEED to have a number of peeps that are now/become immune / got the anti bodies that will help stop the spread!!! .. a controlled number getting it and not flooding the NHS …. ! NOW IS THIS a subversive plan to allow another few thousand to get it... and also we have to remember that amongst us is a number of people "testing " differing vaccines etc! They were given the shot 50/50 with placebo and all tested clear when they were done!
I wonder if they should have said " in 2 weeks we will do [ what was announced tonight] and we should be well into number 3 on the "richter scale" and the NHS app will have had a 3 week run out" we will learn more tomorrow ……...

I understood what Boris said although I didn't go much on the presentation with those graphs, looked a bit village.
Basically it's baby steps. And the lock down will come back if the R rate increases. No way in a 15 minute address could he cover every detail. We'll hear more information as time passes.
Starmer might come to regret his comments made after the address.
He's a past master of stating the bleeding obvious.

In hindsight, we should have locked down earlier and had a stockpile of PPE.
    Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I agree with what you’re saying above in tiny steps. The bit I don’t like is people can hang round parks and beaches as long as they social distancing. It is just a bit woolly for me, like the statement go back to work and maintain 2m social distancing if possible. So if it’s not possible, does that mean well you’ve tried or does it mean you can’t operate then?

Life does need to move on, after all the first countries to overcome this virus will be the quickest to have the economy working to loan the other countries so basically controls the worlds finances.

Also, I’m not political scoring. No one would of known how to address this. I blame all the other parties and members of the Tories who put pressure on Bojo and the others to make rash decisions.

Morning Rod, what's wooly about going to the park or beach and keeping 2m apart. You do it in a supermarket what's the problem ?
I don't have all the answers. I think the British people will use the same common sense as they did when the lock down started and have surprised everyone with their compliance.
Let's see what happens starting at 2pm today when the 50pp document is published.

No one stops and sit down in supermarkets.

Mr and Mrs Redprint along with their children all drive for a hour or so to go to the beach. But when they arrive they notice there are very limited space for their family but walk round looking for a space. Also Mr and Mrs I don’t care have the same idea. And arrive there and think **** it I’m not driving home again and sits right next to you. Do you move or think I was here first? (Get me I’ve turned into Gobbly Goop man)
At the end of the day the virus is still out there and active, how long do you think until Mr and Mrs I don’t care spreads it around again?
