I genuinely wouldn’t be all that bothered about bale as a statement signing. Granted, he’s **** loads better than our current players (Saint max will become a god though) would I get excited about a player receiving 400 plus thousand a week to play 1 game and be injured for 7. I’d much rather a Coutinho, Cavani etc.
Keep well away from it mate. Know its a hard temptation but you know it will spiral quickly. If you've ran out of garden to dig up, perhaps start digging up your neighbour's?
I had a similar experience but I found that having other things to focus on really helped. I started with a proper stretch (5 mins) every morning, followed by some meditation. Five minutes with a soft focus and deep breathes. Both of those really helped me focus. I've been trying to keep exercises levels up with varying levels of success! Trying to improve my daily pressup score gave me something structured to work to and competitive enough to keep me interested! Language learning is another one if you have the time. Forced me to focus my attention on it. Hope that's helpful!
NUFC.com - saying it's done and to be announced before next weekend. They don't tend to go in for rumour and hearsay.
Not condoning anything - simply pointing out that he wasn't the pantheon of journalistic integrity that many in the media made him out to be If you want to live by suggesting that beheading is an effective military tactic then surely you should be prepared to die by it too....? I'm sure the Saudis don't need me to apologise on their behalf
Feel way more positive with NUFC.com saying it's on. I have been remaining wary until official, but they are usually so reliable that that was almost my cans moment when I read their update.
Gareth Bale...erm no thanks. £650k a week at Madrid, even if he took a 50% pay cut that's still ****ing stupid money. What will the likes of Miggy and ASM be wanting wages wise if that happens not to mention the rest of the squad. We should be looking for the next Gareth Bale, not employing one who would rather sit on the bench and play golf in the sun than take a pay cut to go somewhere else to do what he is actually supposed to be doing....playing football.
Yep, he's 30 now as well. Cavani is 33 so he can **** off anarl. If they wanna make a statement then break the bank (which by the way would be ****ing virtually impossible for our new owners) and get Haaland in and build a team around him.....that's a statement. Fee wise I can't imagine how much either deal would be upfront for either Haaland or Bale, quite similar perhaps, but salary wise Bale is currently on 500k more a week than Haaland. That's HALF A MILLION ****ing pounds.....A WEEK more than Haaland.
The problem is we can get them potentially down to age and the club's that already can offer the younger players what they want ... you can forget haaland...
Why? Why would he not want to come here? If this takeover goes through Newcastle would be a perfect fit for him especially if we make him our first signing. First signing for a club with new owners looking to build a consistant top 8 (top 6 even) team. He's 19 years old so shouldn't be demanding trophies or CL football to determine where he plays his football, not this early in his career. The pressure on him at Man Utd, Man City or Chelsea etc would be unbelievable, yes he would have pressure here but not as much as he would elsewhere especially as we're in a transition phase. We should be aiming for CL football within 2 years (3 tops) under new owners and manager. Players will want to come here if we have good young upcoming players like Haaland at the club. Would you rather have Bale, Ronaldo, Cavani and Ibrahimovic in the team?
