You jest but no matter how **** it is he’ll be up in the polls tomorrow and the usual suspects will be declaring him a world-class orator.

What did he announce? Seriously, we were eating dinner and I’m a bit Victorian Dad about TV on during family meals. Not that the Victorians had telly.

Spinless facts would be appreciated, then I can cross reference with the news channels.

You can if you can’t work from home. Which is different, somehow.

Whatever you do, avoid buses. Unless you’re a bus driver and then you absolutely must work from home.

If you can't work from home then go to work tomorrow, without using public transport and can obey social distancing.

Unlimited exercise by Wednesday but only with you own household.

Schools looking at phased return from June (youngest years first).

Shops and ents from July if safe and all going well.

I will say that he delivers more clearly in these addresses but the content is still quite vague - I don't this a lot of people understand the r number or what it means.

If they did a graph of r=1 being a horizontal line and a couple of r>1 increasing at different exponential rates and a couple less than 1 showing an exponential decrease then it would help describe it much better.

Construction workers apparently. Assuming they can find someone to look after the kids. I’m a bit sceptical some employees will be forced into fewer hours than usual and forego their furlough dough.

Man like Keir on Sky now.

The 'r' is between 0.5 and 0.9. They cant tell you where between though. Yet again dont be fooled by this. This is science based on purely a best guess. We dont know truly how many people have got the virus or have had it therefore we dont know how many it has truly infected and at what rate

In my opinion, the government have played a bit of a sly blinder. They are leaving it up to us to decide. Universal credits will suddenly cease, furloughs stop or decrease cos they say you can now work.

Just watched a bit on watch again. He went on and on about the R number didn’t he? I agree, I don’t think many people will understand it. Not sure I do, and don’t know how it’s calculated without more testing data.

Go back to work but not in a shop or a school or a pub? Is that it? Exercise when you want (have been anyway)? Nothing on masks? Fight them on the beaches?

Sounds more like continue the British version of lockdown than anything else, and never have so many etc etc.

Feels that way. If your employer opens up and wants you in, in a factory for example, but you have kids who need looking after I wonder what your rights are.

Anyone who can't work from home.*

Presumably except those whose businesses are forced to remain shut (ie shops).

That is a big difference between the two (and they should know a more precise figure if all future changes are reliant on it).

The weekend we've just had with all the ****ers partying may have pushed it over 1 so we might be back in shutdown in 7-14 days.

No fear - I'm not fooled by this and they have cost thousands of lives by delaying at the start. It could have been a flatter curve of infections and deaths if they had imposed lockdown a fortnight earlier and shut the airports.

We can do sports now though...but only with members of your own hosehold.

Speaking to hubbie at this moment about having a go at horseracing or F1 or downhill skiing
